    Employee Wellbeing Lead

    The Opportunity

    • In this strategic role, you will lead the development and delivery of the Club’s mental health and wellbeing strategy, working closely with HR, Safeguarding, Health & Safety and senior leaders to embed a consistent, whole-club approach. You will oversee proactive wellbeing support, provide expert guidance to leaders, and shape a club-wide learning framework that strengthens wellbeing awareness and psychologically safe leadership.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development and delivery of the Club’s mental health and wellbeing strategy in partnership with HR, Safeguarding, Health & Safety and senior leaders.
    • Oversee proactive wellbeing support to ensure initiatives align with organisational priorities and deliver measurable impact.
    • Act as a strategic adviser to senior leaders, providing expert coaching on wellbeing best practice and psychologically safe leadership.
    • Shape and manage a club-wide wellbeing learning framework, embedding wellbeing into leadership development and organisational culture.
    • Evaluate wellbeing activity and training, using data and insight to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
    • Lead the governance and ongoing development of the Mental Health First Aider programme, ensuring high standards of training, support and quality assurance. 

    What You’ll Bring

    • Proven experience of designing and embedding strategy within a complex organisation.
    • Strong professional knowledge of mental health, wellbeing and psychologically safe workplaces.
    • Track record in service development, programme leadership and delivering change.
    • Experience of working with complex or high-risk wellbeing needs.
    • Strategic, forward-thinking and innovative.
    • High standards of confidentiality, professionalism and information governance.
    • Experience of stakeholder engagement, partnership working and co-production.
    • Strong written, digital and reporting capability.
    • Resilient, adaptable and effective in fast-paced environments.
    • Influential advocate for wellbeing at an organisational level.

    • To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead
    • To report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department
