    Graduate Intern (Policy)/Policy Officer

At WMG, we aim for our education and research to help inform public policy, whether on helping Businesses become carbon neutral or how we can ensure quality technical education is available to all.

We are looking to recruit two Graduate interns to support our work on policy, working with WMG innovators to identify how their work relates to policy goals, identifying how they can contribute to policy debates, and implementing ways to share WMGs work with politicians, civil servants and think-tanks.  You’ll be based in WMG at the University of Warwick, but with regular work in London.

With guidance from the Head of Policy at WMG, we’d like you to ensure WMG participates significantly in the public policy debate in a key sector of WMG speciality, developing our key messages, researching national and regional policy and helping to make recommendations for government and parliament to pursue, through formal consultations, enquiries and policy debates.

We’d also like you to help ensure WMG perspectives are represented in the wider policy debate, for example through drafting remarks and commentary from WMG senior staff, representing WMG at conferences and events, and securing speaking slots for WMG researchers and educators at policy events.

In return we will provide you with a great range of benefits which include an attractive pension scheme, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, some fantastic savings on a wide range of products and services, and excellent learning and development opportunities.

We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
