    Healthy Schools Officer

    JOB FUNCTION: Responsible for delivering our Healthy Schools programmes, creating life-changing opportunities for children and young people to engage in – empowering them to develop their physical and mental health through face-to-face group sessions and workshops.
    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To lead, plan and deliver engaging activities for groups of children and young people participating in the Foundation’s Healthy Schools programme.
    • To ensure all Healthy Schools programmes meet relevant objectives within the Foundation wide strategy.
    • To recruit, retain and manage the relationships with schools, educational establishments and other community settings prior to any programme delivery.
    • To identify and communicate with schools and educational settings prior to programme to ensure retention, commitment and safeguarding.
    • To ensure that all data, monitoring and evaluation is captured and inputted onto the relevant secure data capture platforms for reporting purposes with a focus on identified groups and beneficiaries.
    • To be a positive role model, creating a safe, positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and young people to learn.
    • To undertake any other Foundation activities that may be required in addition to the role

    MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:

    • To embody the club’s BLUE behaviours (Brave, Lead, Unity, Edge) in the approach to work and interaction with others
    • To demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and provide support to others across the Foundation with developing their own knowledge.
    • To develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and identified groups including schools, colleges, local authority, voluntary sector organisations and other funders.
    • To achieve weekly and monthly targets as set out by the Schools Education Manager.
    • To attend regular team and organisation meetings reporting key performance achievements/areas for improvement.
    • To demonstrate the ability to drive and innovate new and existing opportunities individually and as part of a dynamic team.
    • To demonstrate the ability to work in a confident and flexible manner, and understand the importance of private and confidential material
    • To ensure success stories are captured through working with Chelsea FC Foundation/Chelsea FC media staff.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

    Qualifications:

    Essential

    • Relevant experience in the industry sector.

    Desirable

    • Clean Driving Licence
    • Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates.
    • REPS Qualification.

    Experience:

    Essential

    • Experience of working with children & young people in primary and secondary school settings.
    • Experience of working on related programmes with relevant subject knowledge.
    • Understanding of schools needs and challenges
    • Understanding of the needs of groups and participants who will be involved in the programme
    • Knowledge of government agendas related to education and young people
    • Ability to use a range of ICT and Multimedia for design and delivery

    Desirable

    • Knowledge of Chelsea FC Foundation, CCOs and Football Charity programmes
    • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, and quality assurance strategies relevant to the industry sector
    • Experience of working within a range of educational settings
    • Budget management experience
    • Knowledge of Charitable Organisations
