Office Cleaner- Edinburgh Airport at Swissport

About the Role: 

• To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across Swissport-operated office spaces, staff facilities, and operational support areas at Edinburgh Airport. The Office Cleaner ensures a safe, clean, and professional environment for employees, visitors, and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily general cleaning duties across airline offices, company offices, staff restrooms, and vehicle maintenance/workshop areas. 
• Perform occasional deep-clean tasks as required, including floors, fixtures, equipment, and high‑touch surfaces. 
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or supply shortages to the supervisor. 
• Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards. 
• Follow airport security procedures and maintain awareness of restricted areas. 
• Work independently to complete tasks within allocated timeframes. 
• Support the wider cleaning team when required to ensure full weekly coverage. 
• Adhere to Swissport policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. 

Qualifications

• Part-time role, with two positions available to provide full-week coverage. 
• Mixed shift pattern, including early and late shifts. 
• Flexibility is required, as some areas cannot be cleaned during peak operational periods. 

Experience

Essential:

• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. 
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards. 
• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude. 
• Willingness to work early and late shifts. 

Desirable:

• Previous cleaning experience in office, industrial, or facilities environments. 
• Experience working in an airport or secure operational setting. 

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass airport security vetting and background checks. 
• Must be physically able to carry out cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and light lifting.
