Operations Director - Design Management at Mace

You’ll be responsible for:

• Driving strategic design management, achieving business plan outcomes and strengthening client relationships.
• Embedding robust systems and standards, shaping long‑term functional strategy and sustainable growth.
• Developing, mentoring and mobilising talent, fostering collaboration, innovation and best practice across teams.
• Managing design management performance, delivering business plan outcomes, strategic KPIs and informed guidance to senior leadership.
• Managing and developing multidisciplinary design teams, embedding technical excellence, collaboration and compliance with management systems.
• Strengthening client and supply chain relationships, supporting work winning and presenting key performance insights.
• Driving resource optimisation, capability development and carbon‑reduction commitments across projects.

You’ll need to have:

• Chartered membership or equivalent professional development.
• Proven healthcare project delivery and deep construction consultancy expertise.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and team oversight.
• Knowledge of safety, contracts, building standards and sustainable, low‑carbon project delivery.
