The purpose of this role is to run the day-to-day operation of the warehouse effectively and efficiently, working in collaboration with Service Partners and employed staffs. To motivate, coach and develop shift managers to achieve best quality in all areas of the operation.
The main role aim is to achieve excellence on standards of service and to liaise and work with the Site/Area Manager to ensure that KPI’s and minimum standards are achieved in line with company targets and customer expectation.
Key Role Responsibilities:
Develop a good understanding of the workings of the operation within the warehouse to ensure service levels are achieved.
Ensure that employees are regularly briefed in line with Company communications & strategy.
Ensure company compliance and KPI’s are adhered to in line with company targets, setting the highest standards in all areas of the business.
Ensure that employee performance is well managed, and Performance Reviews are conducted in line with the Company review procedure.
Review cost performance against location to ensure that costs are in line with agreed targets and staffing levels.
Comply with Company guidelines in relation to timekeeping, attendance, work performance, appearance.
Plan, forecast and monitor employee numbers against productivity to ensure appropriate resource is in place.
Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required in the context of the job role, or as instructed by the Site/Area Manager.
The ideal candidate will have:
Shift management experience in the parcel industry
Experience of leading a team of at least 12
Experience with statistical analysis and data processing
Good knowledge of all computer systems relevant to the operation
Excellent verbal and written communication are appropriate and in line with Data Protection Regulations.
