    Product Manager

    Role Description 

    • We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Product Manager who will work closely with our TAK solution to maximise its effectiveness across a range of customers. Our TAK Solutions provide a supplier common operating picture to our customers across Defence, Government and Law Enforcement. We provide TAK Products and Services that offer enhanced situational awareness, coordination, coordination and wider integration.

    Core Duties 
    Customer & Market Insight

    • Develop deep understanding of customer needs through ongoing engagement with customers, partners, prospects, and industry analysts.
    • Conduct market research and regular customer visits to identify problems, validate opportunities, and define market requirements for current and future products.
    • Utilise expert customer, market and competitive intelligence to influence and shape product strategy.

    Product Strategy & Roadmapping

    • Contribute to overall product strategy and take responsibility for the commercial success of the product or product line.
    • Develop market and product roadmaps for major initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand market vision and translate it into clear product capabilities and strategic plans.

    Go‑to‑Market & Sales Alignment

    • Serve as an internal and external evangelist for the product, working closely with the sales channel and key customers to drive market success.
    • Partner with marketing communications to define go‑to‑market strategy, including product positioning, key benefits, and target segments.
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identifying business‑winning opportunities and prosecuting them effectively.
    • Identify and analyse strategic partner relationships to enhance product value and market reach.

    Execution & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

    • Elicit and refine product requirements, working closely with technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
    • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, tailoring messaging appropriately and constructively challenging where needed.
    • Demonstrate strong understanding of product management processes, including full product lifecycle management.

    Commercial Acumen

    • Own financial forecasting for the product or product line where appropriate.
    • Support the business in designing pricing and licensing models that reflect customer value, competitive dynamics, and strategic commercial objectives.

    Other Requirements

    • Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
    • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple senior stakeholder groups.
