    Research Finance Officer

    Role Overview

    We are recruiting a Research Finance Officer (RFO) to join our team, initially on a fixed term basis for 22 months. The successful candidate will primarily assist Senior Research Finance Officers (SRFOs) in business partnering with key internal and external stakeholders, offering advice and guidance on all post-award tasks and activities for research awards within a designated, non-fixed portfolio.

    By ensuring efficient financial management and compliance, the Research Finance team plays a vital role in enabling groundbreaking research that advances knowledge and benefits society.

    Candidate Profile

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders
    • Proficient numeracy skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Excellent customer service abilities and capability to deliver a professional, high-quality service
    • Excellent organisational skills, including effective planning and prioritisation in a busy environment and adherence to deadlines
    • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and adaptability in response to developments within research and higher education
