To directly assist Management by coordinating and generating the shipping requirements for distribution routes, from warehouse to end-user, maintaining precise and up-to-date reports
Maintaining and developing the contract through innovation, cost reduction and forward thinking
Ensure management of drivers, to legal standard to achieve planned deliveries
Set standards and process with staff and ensure they are maintained
Communication with customer, regular reviews, KPI production
Liaison with service locations to maintain fleet
Maintain service schedule and control standards and repair costs
Health & Safety responsibility for the operation
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Must be an O License Holder
International CPC License Holder
Experience with vehicle tracking and driver performance
Experience of recruiting, training, counselling and disciplining staff
Previous and practical experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment 2 year's experience
Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
A recognized qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received
