    SAP Alliance Lead

    Position Overview

    KPMG is seeking a seasoned professional to join our Alliance Team in the role of SAP Alliance Lead. This position also carries significant responsibility for leading alliances in the Data & AI space, including with partners such as Microsoft, Quantexa, Databricks, and Palantir, as well as helping to shape our overall alliance strategy.

    As a senior member of the team, you will play a central role in elevating KPMG’s strategic partnerships with leading global technology firms. Your remit will include driving joint go-to-market activities and supporting the achievement of ambitious revenue and bookings targets across SAP and Data & AI.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and nurture strong working relationships with alliance partners, serving as the principal KPMG contact for these collaborations.
    • Enhance KPMG’s reputation within partner ecosystems, positioning the organisation as a trusted and preferred provider of implementation and advisory services.
    • Lead the planning and execution of comprehensive go-to-market campaigns, ensuring successful joint demand generation with alliance partners.
    • Define clear success metrics and implement governance structures to support the delivery of strategic plans.
    • Provide regular, transparent reporting and updates to senior stakeholders, promoting accountability throughout alliance activities.
    • Organise and facilitate high-profile networking events with the aim of converting strategic relationships into measurable business outcomes.
    • Lead contractual negotiations with alliance partners, ensuring all agreements adhere to quality assurance and risk management standards.
    • Where required, serve as deputy to the Head of Alliances, contributing to the ongoing strategic direction and development of KPMG’s partnership portfolio.

    Role Requirements

    • Extensive experience in building and managing effective alliances within complex stakeholder environments.
    • Demonstrated expertise with SAP and related cloud technologies, such as S4HANA, and/or equivalent partner ecosystems
    • Proven skills in sales origination, business development, and account management.
    • Exceptional analytical skills, networking abilities, and communication capabilities.
    • Highly organised, resilient, and adaptable when facing new and varied challenges.
    • Experience leading teams and the ability to influence decision-making at executive levels.
    • Strong capability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a matrixed organisational structure.

    Qualifications

    • Substantial experience in alliance leadership or similar roles within the professional services or technology sectors.
    • Ideally, an in-depth understanding of SAP solutions and alliance strategies with Data & AI vendors.
    • Or, failing that, we would be willing to consider candidates with extensive experience working in a “Big 4” environment, with the ability to quickly learn about our Alliance Partners and how to work with them
    • A proven track record in driving revenue growth and consistently delivering against ambitious business targets.

    Director - M&A (Business Services)

    • Deal origination: Leading the charge on developing deal flow, using a network of relevant and high-level contacts to help originate both buy and sell-side mandates for the team;
    • Ensuring rigorous and efficient execution delivery: remaining fully engaged throughout a process;
    • Business development: Play a key role in furthering KPMG’s strength in the region while supporting other areas of the business with go to market and business development best practice / strategies;
    • Manage internal relationships: further leverage off KPMG’s reach and brand outside of M&A deal advisory. The reach and strength of senior relationships across the sector is a powerful tool to be harnessed;
    • Team development: Develop, coach and motivate an experienced team. While the successful individual(s) will have an external / origination focus, they will not be successful without further developing a more delivery focused team;
    • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including intermediaries and other advisors;
    • The successful individual will be central to all key decision making and will play a vital role in the continued development and success of the team and wider M&A advisory business

    The Person 

    Skills, Qualifications & Experience 

    • Strong academic & technical background (ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent)
    • Significant experience within M&A advisory in an investment bank, Big 4, private equity team, M&A Boutique or corporate development role
    • A proven and demonstrable track record of materially contributing to the successful generation of competitive sell and buy-side mandates in the M&A advisory space
    • Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills and demonstrated experience of financial modelling
    • Significant transactional experience with a demonstrable record of deal execution across all phases of the transaction cycle from origination to completion
    • Excellent communication skills with the authority and credibility to gain respect both internally and externally with people at all levels
    • Proven track record in building, motivating and empowering teams. Experience of managing and developing teams of high calibre people
    • Personal drive to deliver results and ambition to make an impact in a growing sector team
    • Commitment to high quality standards, attention to detail and motivation to deliver results within tight deadlines

    Tax Director

    The Role

    This exciting role is within our London region CTAC AARTS team, based in our CSQ office.  We work as a region which comprises 5 other offices and also with the national AARTS practice.

    The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships, develop junior staff, provide excellent client service and identify business development opportunities.  The candidate must have a proven track record of strong market presence, spotting opportunities and conversion into wins.

    Responsibilities:

    Be market facing with allocated clients and target organisations, particularly in the fast growth tech and entrepreneurial sectors

    • Be actively involved with the targeting of new client acquisitions by working with wider tax and non-tax teams.
    • Be actively involved with managing and tracking target activities and business development initiatives
    • Liaising with the client service team and with colleagues in other tax disciplines to provide a co-ordinated service to the client including managing and delivering tax compliance services
    • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and identifying leads for new work
    •  Ensuring that clients are kept up to date on developments within the corporate tax world that may affect their businesses
    • Hold conversations with stakeholders in the markets and be capable of introducing relevant specialists from across the firm
    • Lead by example with client relationships, technical quality and service delivery 
    • Actively promote team and personal profile to internal networks in order to promote collaboration and increase internal leads 
    • Being involved in business development and proposal activity which includes attending various networking events within and outside of KPMG
    • Managing our engagement quality and risk processes and client financials
    • Being a role model for KPMG’s values
    • Managing teams, coaching and developing staff 

    The Individual:

    • Strong understanding of tax accounting concepts under IFRS, UK GAAP (knowledge of US GAAP also desirable).
    • Successful track record of new business origination within tax reporting projects through both internal and external activities
