Position Summary
Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) is critical to high-performing organisations, enabling a coordinated and streamlined end-to-end (E2E) supply and demand process. SIOP is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence across demand planning, parts production and supply, load balancing, warehouse storage and logistics to support engine build and aftermarket requirements across a complex matrix organisation.
Rolls-Royce is undertaking a multi-year transformation program to revolutionize its SIOP process, enhancing transparency, agility, and decision-making. The transformation aims to deliver connected, live data insights for executive leadership, driving optimized operational and financial outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
We are seeking a dynamic Planning Professional to contribute to this transformation journey within our Procurement team.
Your responsibilities will include:

Act as the interface between the central Sales and Operations Planning Team and the Procurement teams in driving forwards the SIOP transformation programme. This could involve training, data capture, data clean up, timetable management, process mapping.

Position requirements
For the Planning and Delivery Lead - S&OP Transformation role, we are looking for someone who has:
- Has a good understanding of a SIOP process, ideally in manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of planning tools within ERP systems (e.g., MRP) and potential use of an Advanced Planning System (APS)
- Proficiency in data analysis
- Ability to interpret and generate insights from data systems and sources.
- Robust organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
People & Leadership skills:
- The ability to build relationships and influence others
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to support their peers through the SIOP process

- Provide extensive hands-on architecture and technical leadership to support scalable application design and delivery.
- Take ownership of all aspects of application architecture within the Submarines Digital product portfolio, considering, in line with architectural and security standards, reference architectures and enterprise road maps.
- Form a close working relationship with other architects and security teams within Rolls-Royce to share best practice and continually learn.
- Form a strong and trusted relationship with agile DevOps teams, providing technical guidance and thought leadership during continuous delivery.
- To be the “brain” and see the entire Digital picture enabling exploitation of data and services across the organisation to more effectively model and simulate our Business.
- To converse directly or facilitate engagements with business communities to better understand business drivers for content development.
- Help to shape our Digital technology road maps ensuring your experience supports and enhances decisions made relating to the technology.
- Stay current with your understanding of the fast-changing technology market and ensure architectures align with current best practices.

- Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum BEng degree or other national equivalent, higher degree preferred)
- UK CEng (Chartered Engineer) or other national equivalent relevant to specialist subject area
