    Chocolate Research & Development, Engineering Degree Apprenticeship 2026

    • The team are responsible for delivering Breakthrough Technologies, new product innovations and building on our world renowned brands.  
    • You will work in a fast paced environment as part of a highly skilled team, you will work on a variety of different products from Dairy Milk to Crème eggs and a wide range of technologies across cocoa processing, chocolate making, moulding and wrapping. 

    During your time you will:

    • Build expertise in a wide range of equipment and technologies, utilising programs such as CAD and supporting our drive for modelling and simulation.  
    • Support the implementation of breakthrough technologies, commissioning new equipment, supporting factory acceptance testing and process validation, solving real world engineering challenges
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the Pilot Plant and R&D. 
    • Build project management skills though on the job learning and block release to university. 

    Apprenticeship:

    • The Apprentice role is a 4-5 Year training position and will require balancing work with learning. Your day to day work and training will be supported by studying towards a Bachelors Engineering Degree with Aston University.  This will be delivered as a mixture of block release and distance learning.

    Year 1 & 2-Pilot Plant 

    • You will initially be based within the Pilot Plant & Facilities Team as part of the Global Process Technology and Productivity team
    • Training in cocoa, chocolate making and depositing technologies.  
    • Work in advance of trials with product/process developers to assist in trial planning.
    • Support sourcing, installation, commissioning and training for new equipment. 
    • Build technical knowledge and equipment expertise executing trials with product/process developers

    Year 3 & 4-Projects

    • Support category growth and CAPEX projects
    • Build project management experience
    • In year 4 you will take on a placement role where you will have full responsibility for delivery of your own project, including scoping, trial planning, execution, and reporting.
    • Towards the end of your apprenticeship the business will support you to apply for any suitable vacant roles in order to progress your career within Mondelez International.

    Trade Executive UK

    You will handle the daily management of accounts receivables activity against collections strategies, worklists and priorities. You will work to minimize overdue invoice balances, cash application to customer accounts and processing claims/deductions.

    How you will contribute

    You will:

    • Validate trade promotional claims from a customer in line with targets & SLA’s 
    • Ensure processes are followed to facilitate effective processing of deductions
    • Communicate in a timely manner and work with appropriate functions to ensure deductions are cleared or recovered
    • Ensure prompt reconciliation of credits with deductions
    • Partner with sales to manage their accounts ledger and debt

    What you need to know about this position: 

    • This isn't an industry-standard Accounts Receivable role; it offers significant exposure to various stakeholders, enabling robust career development within cash receivable, finance, or even sales functions. You'll play a crucial part in managing pricing, collection, and credit risks within the entire bill-to-cash process. 
    • Beyond standard collections, you will be instrumental in validating trade promotional spend for customers, driving sales initiatives, and ensuring accurate funding based on volume and rebate validation against stock controls. A core focus will be on optimizing cash flow. The role involves navigating a diverse set of stakeholders including Sales, Commercial Finance, and external customers, requiring strong communication and collaboration to approve funding, validate volumes, and ensure accurate SAP system entries. You'll be joining a team of 3 reports in the UK, supported by 2 members in India, working closely with Sales and Commercial Finance teams.

    What extra ingredients you will bring: 

    • Must Have: Strong investigation and problem-solving abilities. A meticulous attention to detail is paramount.
