You’ll be responsible for:
- Setts manages and monitors GDPR plan.
- Defining key performance indicators (KPIs) for GDPR to support and monitor delivery plan.
- Providing bespoke data protection advice to key strategic projects and negotiating DP terms to support commercially important contracts (i.e. gold bids and key IT infrastructure projects).
- Developing global corporate data protection framework to support the consult expansion and engine operating models.
- Directing, drafting and reviewing policies, processes and contract documentation in accordance with the GDPR and UK data protection law.
- Proactively promoting Mace as a data protection lead within the construction sector.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving mandatory GDPR training compliance programme.
- Creating a GDPR comms plan to support the GDPR plan and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Representing the business at national and international conferences, networking with external practitioners and industry bodies.
- Creating GDPR steering groups with key stakeholders across the business to tackle key GDPR issues including data breaches, data ownership, and SARs (subject access requests).
- Responsible for EU Representative (post Brexit requirement).
- Managing data protection team with direct line management responsibilities. Provides leadership, strategic guidance and coaching to team, ensuring a high performing team that meets KPIs for area of responsibility.
- Managing GDPR legal retainer with external counsel in line with commercial and strategic objectives.
- Delivering continuous improvements in processes through application of best practices and lessons learned. Drives transformational change.
- Inputting into strategy development and develops plans and oversees delivery of strategy for area/discipline/portfolio.
- Utilising highly advanced discipline subject matter expertise (SME) for GDPR and provides expertise counsel to senior leadership roles across portfolio.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
- Strategic planning skills to deliver GDPR objectives and contributing towards wider Mace business plan.
