About the Role
- This role is all about making sure vehicles leave the workshop safe, road-worthy and reliable. You’ll service, inspect and repair a broad mix of vehicles, and perform MOT tests to the highest standards. One day you might be chasing injectors, the next you might be prepping a vehicle for its MOT and explaining findings to a customer. You’ll use modern diagnostic tools, work with a respected workshop team and help maintain a reputation for quality.

Key Duties
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of makes and models of vehicle
- Perform thorough inspections of vehicle components (brakes, tyres, lights, suspension, exhaust systems and emissions)
- Accurately complete all documentation required
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Maintain the testing equipment and ensure all tools are functioning correctly
- Adhere to all health and safety standards
- Keep up to date with MOT legislation
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or MOT tester
- Solid understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair methods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to doing quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
- Full UK driving licence
- MOT Centre Management license desirable but not required

Key Duties

- Manage month-end routines and ensure all timelines are met.
- Present financial information to directors and clients in a way that’s easy to understand and act on.
- Suggest improvements to reporting, processes and data accuracy.

Key Requirements
- Part-qualified or qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA (or equivalent).
- Experience of Sage and Paperless

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Repair or replace defective components
- Conduct DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised)
