    Manufacturing Technician

    About the role

    This role is responsible for the control of programs to produce Baileys Original Irish Cream and its component parts whilst ensuring that relevant risk management procedures e.g. H&S, C&E, DIAGEO Quality Standards and Environmental considerations are adhered to.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Daily receipt of ingredient deliveries, Stock control of raw materials and finished product
    • Use of manufacturing programmes to control Baileys Irish cream production.
    • 100% adherence to all associated quality checks from pre intake through to final product and recording of the results on SAP.
    • Completion of all documentation, including for example; Production, C&E and Quality.
    • Preventative and reactive maintenance on the plant.
    • Participation in H&S and continuous improvement activities through sites manufacturing excellence program.
    • Maintenance of a high standard of plant hygiene and product quality
    • Support all facets of asset care through Manufacturing Excellence program.
    • Use the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) for all maintenance related tasks for individual assets.
    • Use downtime tracking tools available on site
    • Use data to interpret issues and apply effective root causing to improve efficiency
    • Achievement of maximum throughput per day from the process plant.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • Engineering qualifications or apprenticeships would be desirable.

    Experience

    • FMCG Industry experience, working to high Quality standards.
    • Computer literate, knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP are essential
    • Technical aptitude, Mechanical Electrical and or Instrumentation awareness is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of component supply and materials would be an advantage

    Skills

    • Great ‘can do’ attitude along with excellent communication skills.
    • A keen team player within and across teams – who can lead on work activities, including manufacturing excellence projects.
    • Technically capable of carrying out routine maintenance and minor repair tasks as well as the ability to demonstrate knowledge of asset care principles.
    • Ability to complete and maintain documentation and system records to high degree of accuracy.
    • Structured problem solving and data analytics skills.
    • Ability to prioritise and work within given timeline and performance measures. 
    • Ability to challenge established ways of operating to create improvement ideas.
    • A motivated self-starter capable of learning in a fast paced environment.
    • Flexibility within a shift working environment.

    Electrical Production Engineer - Weekend Only

    About the role

    As an Electrical Production Engineer, you’ll play a vital role within our Packaging Line Craft team, bringing your technical expertise to keep high-speed packaging lines running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This is a hands-on role where your proactive attitude and problem-solving skills will make a real impact on performance, safety, and quality.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Ensure operational excellence by supporting asset care and performing planned and reactive maintenance.
    • Drive continuous improvement in line performance, safety, quality, and delivery.
    • Collaborate and mentor operators and team leaders in autonomous maintenance and fixing issues.
    • Lead with safety first, working in full compliance with lockout/tagout procedures and electrical standards.
    • Contribute to team success through improvement projects, effective shift handovers, and active participation in Tier meetings.

    Shifts

    As a Weekend Electrical Engineer, you will work Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.

    Key Skills & Experience

    • Technical Expertise – Recognised apprenticeship or HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
    • Systems Knowledge – Comfortable working with SAP and maintenance systems to ensure smooth operations.
    • Problem-Solving & Process Improvement – Structured approach to identifying issues and driving efficiency.
    • Industry Experience – Ideally FMCG or high-speed manufacturing, with strong understanding of asset care systems and compliance standards.
    • Multiskilled Approach – Electrical core with a willingness to broaden skills and embrace further development.
    • Safety & Quality Commitment – Dedicated to maintaining high standards in compliance and operational integrity.
