    Account Manager

    Location: Christchurch. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

    Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on skills and experience

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Deputise for the Head of Defence Digital Account
    • Will be the primary sales lead for opportunities within the Defence Digital Account Area. This will cover prospecting, qualification, opportunity development, bid and proposal development, negotiation and sales closure – Delivering OI to meet the target as set
    • Support the team in managing and developing appropriate counterpart customer, government and industry relationships
    • Independently lead in developing and qualifying opportunities within the Account area, sometimes seeking support for larger and more strategic opportunities
    • Responsible for supporting the team in managing all aspects of customer satisfaction, sales, delivery and financial performance of the Defence Digital Group of accounts within Defence
    • Support the team as needed and directed with specific opportunities
    • Be seen as an expert on the correct processes to use, occasionally educating others as needed

    Your skills and experiences:

    • Proven experience in Defence and IT domains, with a strong understanding of industry-specific standards, technologies, and operational environments
    • Qualified to Degree standard or equivalent
    • Good Business Winning experience and a very good understanding of business winning behaviours, processes, procedures and industry best practice
    • Able to lead specific Account Management activity and manage the activity through to handover to the delivery team
    • Very good experience in identifying, creating and developing new opportunities from existing Accounts and driving growth
    • Good experience of engaging senior stakeholders, particularly customers, and the ability to build mutually beneficial relationships
