    Clinical Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy (Teaching Intensive)

    We welcome applications from clinically qualified candidates with experience of clinical practice in a specialist capacity in adult speech/language/communication needs and/or eating, drinking and swallowing. Applicants should be willing to contribute to the highly collaborative, inter-disciplinary and collegiate environment at the University of Reading.

    The fixed term position (until 31st December 2026) is available on a part time or full time basis (up to 1 FTE) basis, commencing on 1st January 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

    You will have

    • A BSc, MSci, MSc in speech and language therapy (or equivalent speech and language therapy qualification)
    • Current HCPC registration
    • Specialist knowledge of adult speech language and communication and swallowing
    • Recent practical experience of having provided speech and language therapy to adults with speech, language, communication needs, and/or eating, drinking and swallowing
    • a commitment to professionalism in undertaking responsibilities and in interactions with colleagues and students

    Safeguarding Requirements and Responsibilities

    • To undertake safeguarding training and follow the University’s Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk Policy at all times.

    • To report any disclosures or concerns using the Safeguarding Incident Form and submit this to the UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team Designated Safeguarding Officer.
