    Associate Professor in Accounting

    We are seeking to appoint an ambitious Associate Professor in Accounting who can show great potential as a researcher with outputs in the top journals in Accounting, and who has an impressive academic research agenda in the area of accounting. The holder of these posts will be involved with teaching in some of the broad areas of Accounting and Management Accounting, with associated responsibilities in administration of modules and students.

    The Department of Finance and Accounting comprises two areas: Finance (The ICMA Centre) and Accountancy. The post-holder is expected to provide contributions in Accounting. You will contribute to research, teaching and administration, commensurate with the Associate Professor role.

    The appointee is expected to:

    • Conduct independent research and demonstrate research leadership in the area of accounting as well as applying for research grants;
    • Teach on some modules in the broad area of Accounting in undergraduate and pre-experience master’s programmes as agreed by the Head of Department of Finance and Accounting; ability to teach some of Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Data Analytics in Accounting be a great advantage.
    • Take on administrative duties and academic citizenship activities as well as academic leadership roles as appropriate;

    You will have : compulsory

    • A PhD in Accounting or Finance or Economics
    • Experience with teaching at University level
    • Experience with data analytics in Accounting
    • Portfolio of research outputs published in top journals in Accounting

    About the role

    As Head of Building and Property Information Management, you will:

    • Lead the management of building and property information, ensuring data and drawings are accurate, consistent, and complete throughout their lifecycle.
    • Define and communicate data requirements across Estates and wider stakeholders.
    • Build robust relationships with internal teams and external agencies to maximise the potential of data integration across platforms and organisations.
    • Oversee the monitoring and reporting of Space, Land, and Property, delivering unified and accessible reports that support strategic decision-making.
    • Manage the interface between CAFM and other systems including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Power BI.
    • Oversee the upkeep of the University’s technical drawings, managing internal and external CAD resources.
    • Manage the interface between CAFM, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Power BI, ensuring seamless data integration and reporting.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Calf Rearer to join the commercial farm Youngstock team at The Centre for Dairy Research (CEDAR), The University of Reading. This is a critical role responsible for the husbandry, welfare, health and day to day routines for calves from birth to weaning.

    Clinical Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy (Teaching Intensive)

    We welcome applications from clinically qualified candidates with experience of clinical practice in a specialist capacity in adult speech/language/communication needs and/or eating, drinking and swallowing.
