    Java Developer

    Location: Remote (UK only)
    Salary: £55,000 £70,000 per annum (DOE)
    Job Type: Permanent

    About the Role

    We are currently seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a forward-thinking technology company that is driving innovation across its sector. This is a fully remote position within the UK, offering the flexibility to work from home whilst being part of a collaborative and supportive engineering team.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software applications, contributing to both greenfield and existing projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java applications.
    • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
    • Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.
    • Collaborate with product managers, QA, and fellow developers to deliver features on time.
    • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team.

    Skills & Experience

    • Strong commercial experience with Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot.
    • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-based applications (AWS or Azure).
    • Proficiency with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
    • Experience working in an Agile environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

    Desirable (Not Essential)

    • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerisation tools.
    • Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular) would be beneficial.
