Bournemouth University is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Adviser for 18.5 hours a week on a fixed term basis until October 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to students’ lives by supporting their mental health, wellbeing, and academic success.
You will work directly with students experiencing a range of mental health conditions, providing expert advice, guidance, and strengths-based support to help them develop strategies for self-management and independent learning throughout their university journey.
You will be a qualified mental health professional with experience supporting individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, including crisis situations. You will bring excellent communication skills, sound professional judgement, and a calm, empathetic approach to working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Relevant professional qualification relating to mental health and current membership of a DSA-QAG recognised professional body are requirements of this role.
