Production Planning & Control Manager - Defence Manufacturing
Accountability of production planning and clear communication to the operations environment to enable successful execution in accordance with these plans
Own and drive short, medium and long term delivery commitments, identifying and providing solutions to any potential capacity or critical supply issues whilst ensuring risks that have the potential to impact on delivery are identified, prioritised, escalated, and impact is understood throughout the wider business.
Ownership of inventory (Material input, WiP and stock) to ensure the business operates at an effective and efficient level
Provide professional leadership and engagement to a team of P&C professionals through effective development planning and coaching whilst maintaining functional competence and core skills, sharing of best practice and continuous improvement of standard processes.
Role requirements:
SAP knowledge and working experience with MRP systems
Experience of supply chain planning and control processes
Strong leadership behaviours; influencing, priority setting, conflict resolution and ability to build, motivate and maintain effective teams
Dealing with ambiguity and innovating/collaborating with others to solve complex problems
Ability to improve business performance through effective leadership of direct report
