Honeywell is requiring experienced embedded firmware design engineers with strong Fire system development knowledge to join us for development of Fire Alarm control panel firmware.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.
Responsibilities
Develop and test embedded firmware code for the fire panel subsystem meeting EN54 and customer requirements
Maintain know how on applicable FIRE regulatory standards (EN54)
Investigate complex customer issues as required and resolve them
Troubleshooting the Hardware /Firmware issues as and when required
Qualifications
MUST HAVE
Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering with specialization in electronics or computer science.
Extensive experience (minimum 10+ years) in embedded software design using C /C++ following coding standards
Extensive experience in working with Operating Systems like Free RTOs, Linux environment
Proven experience in working with communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, RS485, RS232)
Proven experience in Hardware, Firmware integration and using debugging tools
Proven experience working with software versioning tools like GitHub
Proven experience in working with UML diagrams , Class sequence diagrams
Excellent knowledge in working with various microcontroller platforms and developing firmware for EMI/EMC robust design
Working knowledge and understanding of electrical , electronic interfaces with firmware
Experience in Continuous Integration- DevSecOps, Software testing methods – Static and dynamic
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
Fluent in spoken and written English
Ability to travel worldwide ca. 20%
