    Senior Distribution Manager

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    The Senior Distribution Manager ensures BBC services remain innovative, prominent, and accessible across broadcast and online platforms. This role leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects, manages key partnerships, and negotiates contracts to secure optimal distribution routes. By combining strategic insight with technical and commercial expertise, the position safeguards compliance, drives service evolution, and supports BBC editorial ambitions. It is pivotal in shaping future delivery models and maintaining the BBC’s reputation for excellence.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

    • Collaborate with BBC stakeholders to design optimal distribution strategies for BBC services.
    • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary projects for new and existing services, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
    • Oversee third-party relationships and negotiate contracts, addressing risks and opportunities with legal guidance.
    • Monitor partner performance against BBC standards, implementing corrective actions and maintaining stakeholder communication.
    • Maintain specialist technical and commercial expertise, focusing on audio partnerships, AI integration, and expanding BBC Sounds into new markets

    YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Confident in managing strategic partnerships and driving good commercial outcomes
    • Extensive experience of working in music and audio
    • A self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a wider team/s
    • An experienced commercial operator who is comfortable engaging with senior leaders and executives
    • An eye for detail and able to drive partnerships from deal execution through to implementation
