    Crop Technology Coordinator (R&D Agricultural Science)

    This role provides hands‑on experience in evaluating crop‑technology solutions, assisting with method‑validation activities, coordinating small‑scale ring tests, and helping ensure that trialling teams have access to clear, aligned operating procedures and equipment guidance. By supporting the adoption of validated trialling systems and technologies, the Coordinator helps enable high‑quality, standardised research and data‑driven decision‑making across Ag Science trial sites.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the harmonisation and integration of existing and emerging trialling innovations, equipment, and associated processes across global trialling locations, including Future Farms.
    • Collaborate closely with Global Trialling Excellence Managers to drive equipment, process and analytical standardisation and equivalence across Ag Science research hubs.
    • Contribute to enabling high‑quality, scaled research by supporting the deployment of standardised trialling equipment, methods, and phenotyping approaches that enhance data‑led decision making.
    • Assist global field and laboratory testing centres in accessing validated and aligned equipment, ensuring that associated SOPs are clear, current, and consistently applied across sites.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the organization related to the adoption and use of global trialing innovations, systems and processes.
    • Support the delivery of technology and process‑deployment plans, helping track risks and issues, collecting post‑implementation feedback, and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
    • Work collaboratively with partners across R&D and other functions (e.g., Procurement, Office of Sustainability, GAO) to ensure coordinated implementation of technology and methods.

    Qualifications

    • BSc/MSc in Agriculture, Crop Science, Agronomy, Plant Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field, plus ~3 years’ experience supporting or managing field research projects in agronomy, ag‑tech, or sustainable agriculture.
    • Practical experience working with potato crops (ideally in processing/crisping systems); experience with oats and/or corn and exposure to potato storage research are advantageous.
    • Hands‑on experience with field and post‑harvest trialling technologies, including equipment operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and development or updating of SOPs.
    • Experience implementing, validating, and standardising new technologies, systems, or analytical processes across multiple sites or teams, including gathering user feedback and contributing to continuous improvement.
    • Ability to build strong cross‑functional relationships and work effectively within global, matrixed teams across scientific, operational, and business functions.
    • Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for technical and non‑technical audiences and provide concise progress updates that support decision‑making and alignment.

    Assistant Brand Designer

    The Assistant Brand Designer is responsible for partnering across different types of design projects and execution of comprehensive brand design and graphic design projects across our Global Food and Global Beverage portfolios. Successful candidates will demonstrate a superior ability to learn and start applying design thinking from ideation through concept development, refinement, and execution. Create high-quality brand design solutions by directly executing design and leveraging internal/external design resources.     Finance Business Partner

    Business partner the senior leadership team and build strong relationships between finance and all other departments at site, ensuring engagement and understanding of financial impacts. Actively support the Site Finance Managers and Site leadership to control and navigate Supply Chain costs, incl. Direct Costs and manufacturing overhead by completing performance analysis and financial planning & forecasting. Support decision making by preparing insightful reporting and presentations and Work with the financial management and Sr leadership to set the agenda for the Projects and Productivity.

    Responsibilities

    • Ownership of period end financial reporting and presenting results to the central finance team.
    • Coaching and development of the site finance team, including prioritisation of tasks, and managing day to day performance.
    • Responsible for monthly financial reporting of site performance to the BU, ensuring that all systems are updated correctly.
    • Business partnering with budget holders and site senior leadership team to ensure engagement and that financial priorities are understood and discussed in the correct forums with the correct audience.
    • Lead site AOP build with inputs from the Management Accountants, reviewing with site finance managers prior to submission.
    • Attend the daily and weekly QCDM, actively participate in these meetings and ensure that there is alignment on the cost KPI’s between operational teams and finance, and providing coaching if required.
    • Support site Kaizen Leaders and Green Belts with project charters, savings calculations, and tracking of productivity delivery in power steering.
    • Support GCS and SOX compliance. Work with the Operations and Control team to establish and embed relevant financial controls at site.
    • Work with the site finance managers to set the agenda for the Projects & Productivity.
    • Support the site finance managers with other work streams as required and deputise in their absence.
    • Be the link between the site finance team and the strategic financial management, escalating issues as appropriate.

    Qualifications
    Required:

    • CIMA/ACCA qualified (or nearly qualified).
    • Manufacturing accounting experience.
    • Business partnering experience.
    • Development and coaching experience.
    • Experience of working with Lean manufacturing (QCDM).

    Advanced Excel skills.

    • Drive for results/ability to work under pressure (role is deadline driven).
    • Ability to influence upwards to affect the results & progress of the action plan & AOP.

    Electrical Engineer (12-Months FTC)

    The Electrical Engineer will be a proactive, self-motivated electrical engineer, who is responsible for owning and leading the Leicester MESS Risk Remediation agenda, during the 12-Month FTC, the expectation is to achieve the 40% risk reduction target, implement the MESS strategy for the site to take ownership of and put in place best practices to set the site up for success moving forward.

    Engineering Apprentice

    It is an exciting time for us and we continually strive to improve our business performance. Our Engineering Staff are a huge part of our operation and work across every area of the plant undertaking a variety of crucial tasks to maintain our high standards.  As an Engineering Apprentice you’ll attain base engineering skills in the form of a BTEC/HNC. Over a period of 4 years, this will be a mix of you attending college and working in a fast paced automated manufacturing environment gaining hands on experience.

    Engineering Project Manager (12 months secondment)

    The role is accountable for end to end project management, including planning, budgeting, risk management, contractor oversight, installation coordination, commissioning, and final handover. This includes ensuring all project KPIs are achieved, operational stakeholders receive solutions that meet their requirements, and all acceptance criteria - technical, financial, and operational are fully signed off.

    Responsibilities

    • Full ownership of projects from inception, CAPEX submission through to completion.
    • Ownership of financial control for responsible projects.
    • Ensuring all legal checks / documents / systems are in place.
    • Ensure post project reviews are undertaken – build lessons learnt into project process
    • Ensure all site capital projects adhere to relevant PIUK standards & systems, adopt the PepsiCo best practice for early equipment management.
    • Project risk analysis and contingency planning.
    • Financial / operational and performance delivery / handover.
    • Lead and support project initiators in developing scoping documents.
    • Lead tender groups / presentations making recommendations on suppliers.
    • Managing site comms and engagement of front line for project delivery.

    Key Measures:

    • Adherence to project milestones and OTIF delivery, VSU (Vertical start up) will be a key element.
    • Capex spend management (both capital and expense) to agreed budget and timelines.
    • Financial forecasty accuracy for Capital and Expense expenditure.
    • Project compliance to required safety systems.
    • Quality impact of any projects e.g. food safe design, food safety incidents due to project implementation

    Qualifications
    Essential:

    • Strong technical or engineering background is essential
    • High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access).
    • Experience using CAD software (preferred but not essential).
    • Able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, and continuously evolving environment.
    • Skilled in contractor management, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and oversight of on-site activities.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage issues proactively.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to influence decision-making, facilitate meetings, and provide clear direction.
    • Familiarity with Health & Safety requirements, including permit to work systems, risk assessments, and safe systems of work (e.g., ATC/ATO).

    • Experience managing small (<£100k) to medium-scale (up to £1m) capital projects, from concept through to delivery and close-out.
    • Experience working with CAPEX processes, including cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance.
