    Trainee Air Source Heat Pump Engineer

    Salary: £26,000 £30,000 DOE + Van + Fuel Card + Training + Benefits

    The Role
    As a Trainee ASHP Engineer, youll work alongside experienced installers, gaining hands-on experience in the installation, servicing, and commissioning of Air Source Heat Pump systems in residential properties. This is a field-based role, providing the opportunity to learn directly on-site while receiving structured training to build your skills in the fast-growing renewables sector.

    Key Duties (with training provided)

    • Assisting with the removal of existing gas boiler systems
    • Supporting the installation of unvented cylinders and associated pipework
    • Learning to install and commission Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems
    • Developing fault-finding and basic servicing skills
    • Ensuring work meets compliance, safety, and quality standards
    • Working closely with senior engineers, surveyors, and the office team

    What Were Looking For

    • Plumbing or heating background preferred (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent ideal)
    • Keen interest in renewable energy and low-carbon heating
    • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
    • G3 unvented qualification an advantage (not essential)
    • Full UK driving licence required
    • Additional certs (WRAS, electrical, F-Gas) beneficial but training can be provided

    Electrical Quality Supervisor

    Job Title: Electrical Quality Supervisor
    Salary: £45,000 per annum + monthly bonus incentives
    Location: Swansea
    Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

    About the Role
    Valoris Group are recruiting for a skilled Electrical Quality Supervisor to join a leading renewables business based in Swansea. This is an office-based position with responsibility for ensuring the highest standards across electrical installations in solar PV, air source heat pumps, ventilation, and wider renewable projects. You will oversee live installations, support electricians on-site, and drive compliance, safety, and quality across operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor project performance and quality, reporting to management
    • Manage and improve quality assurance systems across installations
    • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and industry regulations (including CDM)
    • Oversee project direction, progress, and coordination with on-site teams
    • Conduct installation reviews, certification checks, and inspections
    • Manage testing, inspection, and documentation for electrical works
    • Provide structured feedback to support training and continuous improvement

    What Youll Need

    • Proven experience as a Quality Supervisor or in a supervisory role within electrical works
    • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
    • Knowledge of domestic electrical systems and compliance requirements
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent communication and reporting skills

    Essential Qualifications

    • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
    • Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391 or equivalent)

    Air Source Heat Pump Installer

     Air Source Heat Pumps = Heating Installation Teams
    Location: South Wales & South West England
    Employment Type: Self-Employed (CIS)
    Pay: £875 £2,500 per install + bonuses + expenses

    About the Role
    Valoris Group Limited are partnering with a leading renewable energy provider to recruit qualified Heating Installation Teams. This is a long-term opportunity with consistent weekly work on Air Source Heat Pump (Samsung) and Worcester Hybrid installations across South Wales and the South West.

    We are seeking experienced 2-person teams who can deliver high-quality installs, work to compliance standards, and represent our client professionally on site.

    Whats on Offer

    Consistent workload: 13 ASHP installs per week and 15 Hybrid installs per week

    Competitive pay rates:

    • ASHP installs: £2,250£2,500 (plus £200 per additional radiator)
    • Hybrids: £875£1,250 (depending on boiler type and electrical scope)

    Bonus structure:

    • +£200 for each hybrid after the first two per week
    • +£200 for installs passing first-time inspection (no call-backs)
    • Weekly pay (after 2 weeks in hand)
    • Accommodation arranged and paid when staying away + £100/night team allowance
    • Ongoing training and technical support

    Requirements (Lead Engineer)

    • Valid ACS (CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1, CKR1)
    • G3 Unvented qualification
    • BPEC ASHP
    • Water Regulations
    • Gas Safe registered (preferred, not essential)
    • Minimum 2 years renewables experience (case-by-case exceptions possible)

    Team Requirements

    • At least one qualified Heating Engineer with a teammate
    • CIS registered with UTR number (self-billing process)
    • Own van (rental option available after 4 weeks)
    • Tools required:
    • Heavy-duty SDS Max drill (stone/granite capable)
    • Gas analyser (calibrated within last 12 months)
    • Standard heating installation kit
    • Public liability insurance (£2m minimum)
    • Lead engineer must hold DBS check

    Responsibilities

    • Carrying out ASHP and Hybrid installations
    • Retrofit works (radiators, boiler conversions, additional pipework)
    • Ensuring compliance with safety and certification standards
    • Customer communication and professional on-site conduct

    Induction & Support

    • Full week-one induction including H&S and supervised install
    • Site Manager support on first job and inspection sign-off
    • Ongoing access to technical engineers for guidance
