    Apprentice - Health & Safety Technician

    This role is part of our Early Careers Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This apprenticeship is set up for four years, starting from August 2026.

    Key responsibilities

    • We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join us, people who are looking for an exciting career rather than just a job.
    • Honeywell will provide you with the courses to gain industry recognised Health, Safety and Environment, apprenticeship qualifications alongside a salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits.  This apprenticeship is a mixture of academic and practical onsite learning.

    You will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following:

    • Assisting in carrying our risk assessments, safety audits / inspections and inductions 
    • Supporting with compliance and implementation of safety procedures 
    • Assisting with actions management and incident investigations as well as root cause analysis 
    • Organise meetings and taking minutes during Sr HSE Meetings and HSE Committees 
    • Assisting with the monitoring and reporting of HSE metrics and incidents trends analysis to identify areas for improvement 
    • Help developing safety awareness campaigns - safety talks, safety messages, posters etc.

    Key skills and qualifications:

    • Experience working in MS Office, (word, Excel, PowerPoint), (this could be from your personal life, a workplace or your studies)
    • A passion for pursuing a career in Health, Safety & Environment
    • A minimum of GCSE a C / level 4 grade in Maths and English
    • Can commute with ease to the Southend office
    • Business level English written and spoken language skills, with the confidence to present face to face to Senior Management
    • Full and permanent right to work in the UK
