    Production Operator

    We are looking for a Production Operator, here at Honeywell Southend. The successful candidate will play a key role in the production line (packing, labelling and implementing quality assurance). This is a Full Time onsite role 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday. 

    Helping to Transform Buildings to be Safer and More Operationally and Energy Efficient. 

    Key responsibilities

    • To manually & automatically assemble products 
    • Completion of First offs quality samples and complete quality documentation  
    • Ensure efficient running of Assembly equipment
    • Feed components and replenish materials for assembly / packing processes
    • Actively support waste reduction initiatives
    • Ideally be able to read & understand Quality documentation

    • Able to operate within a high-volume production/ manufacturing environment
    • To be fully committed to achieving the team’s objectives and targets

    Apprentice - Health & Safety Technician

    This role is part of our Early Careers Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This apprenticeship is set up for four years, starting from August 2026.

    Key responsibilities

    • We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join us, people who are looking for an exciting career rather than just a job.
    • Honeywell will provide you with the courses to gain industry recognised Health, Safety and Environment, apprenticeship qualifications alongside a salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits.  This apprenticeship is a mixture of academic and practical onsite learning.

    You will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following:

    • Assisting in carrying our risk assessments, safety audits / inspections and inductions 
    • Supporting with compliance and implementation of safety procedures 
    • Assisting with actions management and incident investigations as well as root cause analysis 
    • Organise meetings and taking minutes during Sr HSE Meetings and HSE Committees

    Apprentice - Connected Building Systems

    As a Connected Building Systems Apprentice at Honeywell, in Bristol and the surrounding areas, you will have the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification and learn and explore various areas of our business, which will allow you to find the ideal career for you within Honeywell Building Automation. 

    This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This apprenticeship is set up for 4 years, starting from 28th September 2026.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • As an Apprentice Controls Engineer or Life Safety Engineer, you will work side‑by‑side with an expert mentor to gain hands-on experience in the fundamentals of building automation to explore both Controls and Life Safety before choosing the career path that fits you best.
    • Honeywell will provide you with nationally recognised qualifications and specialist in-house training alongside a competitive salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits.

     The course is exclusive to Honeywell and supplied initially by Stevenson College.  Honeywell will provide:

    • Your accommodation at Leonardo’s Hotel, (4* with swimming pool, meeting rooms to work with your colleagues, bars, a Marco Pierre White restaurant, Wi-Fi, and plush rooms)
    • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner whilst in college

    within a rotational placement structure to experience visibility of progression pathways:

    • Learning and assisting in the design and implementation of Honeywell building control systems
    • Supporting system integration, testing, and commissioning activities under the guidance of experienced engineers
    • Collaborating with the project team to understand customer requirements and contribute to system solutions and engaging with clients to understand their needs and contribute ideas for enhancements or upgrades to existing systems
    • Assisting in troubleshooting and providing technical support for control systems during installation and post-installation phases
    • Gaining proficiency in ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
    • Contributing to the development and maintenance of documentation related to control system designs and configurations

    Key requirements:

    • Successful apprentices will be offered the role of Controls Engineer or Fire and Security Engineer.
    • Controls Engineers are initially involved with designing the building energy management system that controls the building services (e.g. heating, air conditioning, renewables). They also write related software and graphics as well as installing and commissioning such systems. Another key area is connecting and integrating with other building systems (e.g. security) to create ‘Smart Buildings’. After the building is occupied and being used, they may also be involved in servicing & maintenance, fault finding if there are problems with the system and energy performance reviews.
    • Moving into the Fire and Security team, you will continue growing with the business, and contribute to delivering the high‑quality, life‑safety solutions Honeywell.  A Life Safety Engineer at Honeywell installs, maintains, and tests critical fire and security systems to ensure buildings remain safe, compliant, and fully protected.

    Intern - Client Trainer

    As a Customer Trainer Intern at Honeywell, in Leicester, you will be working with our experienced and friendly Training team, who will support and guide you in shaping our Learning landscape.

    This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

    This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.

    This internship is set up for 12 months for either a sandwich placement starting in Summer 2026, or a recent 2025 graduate, with the opportunity for a permanent opportunity once you graduate in 2028, or complete said internship. 

    Key responsibilities:

    • You will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team, and be assigned a buddy, to be trained to achieve the following: 
    • Support for the introduction of a new booking and management system for training in Europe (classic project work), including implementing a new bonus points program
    • Creation of training material for presentations and trainings, including e-training development               
    • Set up structured training schedules, on a quarterly cycle, to be carried out within the assigned region
    • Attend the relevant train-the-trainer programmes with the associated resources and ensure that regular training updates are carried out in conjunction with engineering & offering management
    • Keep in contact with key customers through sales to ascertain their training needs, review training requirements and make sure that they are fully conversant with the company’s latest products that is relevant to them

    Key skills and qualifications:

    • Currently studying a sandwich course degree, or graduated no earlier than 2025, in electrical, automation, management, business administration, electronic engineering or similar with a passion for training and graduating in 2028
    • A basic understanding of fire detection systems, (this can be from your studies, or day-to-day life)
    • Lives within an easy commute of our Leicester office
    • Business level English, both written and spoken
