    Heating Engineer (Plumbing)

    Location: London (high net worth residential and premium developments)
    Salary: £38,000 to £58,000 basic (depending on experience and qualifications)
    Type: Permanent, full time

    The role

    • High quality heating and plumbing installation work within luxury residential properties

    Fire Alarm Manager

    Location: Office based
    Region Covered: North West and UK

    This is a senior operational and commercial role, managing engineers and a large, established retail client portfolio.

    This position suits an experienced fire alarm professional who also has strong Quantity Surveying and commercial control experience.

    The Role

    • You will be responsible for the day to day management and commercial performance of the fire alarm division, including:
    • Managing a team of 3 Fire Alarm Engineers
    • Full responsibility for 34 large retail clients across the North West and nationwide
    • Commercial control of projects, variations and financial performance
    • Ownership of contracts, margins, forecasting and cost control

    Mobile Multi-Skilled Service Engineer (Electrical Bias)

    Location: London (99% within M25)
    Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum + overtime + standby allowance
    Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
    Working Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm
    Call-Out Rota: 1 week in 7
    Reporting To: Operations Manager

    Overview

    Valoris Group is recruiting for a Mobile Multi-Skilled Service Engineer with a strong electrical bias to support a growing building services provider across London and the M25. This is a field-based role suited to an experienced engineer who is confident working independently across multiple sites, carrying out electrical maintenance, inspection, testing, and minor installation works while supporting wider building services where required.

    Role Responsibilities

    Electrical Maintenance & Compliance

    • Deliver planned, reactive, and statutory electrical maintenance across client sites.
    • Lead on electrical fault finding, diagnosis, isolation, and repair.
    • Maintain lighting systems, power distribution, emergency lighting, and control systems.
    • Complete small installation works, upgrades, and system modifications.
    • Produce accurate certification and documentation including EICRs, PAT records, and remedial reports.
    • Ensure all works comply with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and health & safety standards.

    Inspection & Testing

    • Conduct fixed wire testing (EICR) and statutory inspections.
    • Perform PAT testing where required.
    • Identify and report remedial works and compliance issues.

    Multi-Skilled Duties

    • Provide basic support across mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems where needed.
    • Respond to emergency callouts and complete urgent repairs efficiently and safely.
    • Provide clear updates and technical guidance to clients on-site.

    Operational Delivery

    • Attend multiple sites as directed by the Service Desk.
    • Maintain accurate records using mobile job management systems.
    • Participate in the on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours support when required.

    Essential Qualifications

    • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent)
    • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
    • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
    • Full UK Driving Licence

    Desirable Qualifications

    • PAT Testing certification
    • IPAF and/or PASMA
    • Experience with emergency lighting, fire alarms, and control panels
    • Basic mechanical or plumbing knowledge
    • F-Gas awareness

    Experience Required

    • Minimum 3 years experience in electrical maintenance
    • Experience working across commercial and/or residential environments
    • Strong background in inspection, testing, and fault finding
    • Experience delivering both planned preventative maintenance and reactive callouts
    • Previous mobile role experience and familiarity with BMS systems advantageous

    Slinger / Banksman

    Location: Ebbw Vale (initial large-scale commercial solar project), with ongoing projects thereafter
    Start Date: March 2026
    Employment Type: Self Employed CIS

    Overview:
    We are looking for an experienced Slinger / Banksman to support lifting operations on a large-scale commercial solar project in Ebbw Vale starting in March 2026. This role will play a key part in coordinating safe lifting activities across a busy construction environment, working closely with crane operators and site teams. Following completion of the initial project, there will be opportunities to continue onto further solar and commercial construction projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Direct and guide crane and plant operations using approved hand and radio signals
    • Safely attach, secure, and detach loads in accordance with lifting plans
    • Support the movement and placement of materials including solar infrastructure components, frames, and equipment
    • Maintain clear communication with crane operators, supervisors, and site teams
    • Monitor exclusion zones and ensure safe lifting practices are followed at all times
    • Stop operations immediately if unsafe conditions arise
    • Assist with general site duties where required

    Requirements:

    • Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger / Signaller (Banksman) ticket
    • CSCS card
    • Previous experience on large-scale construction or solar farm projects
    • Strong understanding of lifting operations, load control, and site safety procedures
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment
    • Full PPE

    Project Details:

    • Initial placement on a large commercial solar development in Ebbw Vale starting March 2026
    • Ongoing work available on further solar and commercial projects following successful completion
    • Potential travel to additional UK sites as projects progress

    Desirable:

    • Experience working on solar farm or renewable energy projects
    • Experience working alongside mobile cranes and telehandlers
    • Additional tickets such as Telehandler, IPAF, or First Aid
