    Senior ABAP Team Lead

    About the role

    We're looking for a ABAP Technical Lead with working experience of E-invoicing to work as part of the Reckitt SAP Competency Centre on the ABAP development aspects of the Reckitt SAP template.

    We're looking for someone highly technical and experienced with a sound understanding of all underlying development tools & technologies used in the SAP domain. This is still a hands on role as you will be required to lead technically by example, as well as lead others within a small team of ABAP developers.

    In addition to a wealth of ABAP development experience the candidate must have held a team leadership role in SAP ABAP development for a number of years and should also have experience of the associated Business Technology Platform.​

    Your responsibilities

    • Provide leadership and governance across the whole development team, being the technical champion for all things development related​
    • Ensure that the validated state of the system is kept intact with respect to technical documentation and process​
    • Ensure the system is audit compliant​
    • Ensure the ability to upgrade i.e. do not change SAP outside of the allowed rules​

    Key Outputs/Deliverables​:

    • Providing technical expertise, design, development and implementation of ABAP.​
    • Best practice approach to system design and business processes​
    • Delivery of system documentation, ensuring this complies with regulatory requirements​
    • Liaising with support organisation and/or adoption team for ongoing issues with live operations​
    • Provide structured skills development across all team members, whether they are junior or senior​
    • Provide vision and leadership on future SAP strategies around development tools, i.e. SAP ABAP Cloud, Pro-code, No-code ​

    Metrics​:

    • Deployment and continuous improvement change requests delivered to schedule​
    • Passing project toll gates​
    • Skills development within the team being ahead of the project requirement curve​

    Key Interactions/Stakeholders​:

    • Works alongside the SAP Competency Centre members to govern the SAP template​
    • Coaches team members at all career levels ​
    • Coordinates with other Global Projects / Initiatives​
    • Primary contact for SI partner (IBM) with respect to technical SAP topics​
    • Works as part of cross-functional project teams both inside and outside the core SAP department​
    • Candidates must be willing to travel as part of the SAP project lifecycle when the need arises​

    The experience we're looking for

    Technical:​

    • Extensive, demonstrable experience in ABAP development.
    • The ability to discuss complex technical concepts with non-technical stakeholders across all functional areas​
    • A thorough understanding of user-exits/BADIs and webservices supporting the integration to non-SAP systems​
    • Practical experience of developing and supporting SAP eInvoicing solutions through DRC and non-DRC scenarios​

    Functional: ​

    • Experience of working in a global organisation​
    • Ability to consult with stakeholders and subject matter experts to acquire appropriate business requirements​
    • Ability to establish meaningful business relationships both internal and external business partners​

    Methodologies:​

    • Software delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)​

    Behaviour: ​

    • Creative problem solving skills and ability to work on own initiative to drive and deliver results​
    • Language skills desirable​
    • Process oriented, articulate and enthusiastic, capable of confidently presenting to higher Management teams, working closely with vendor team members, Architects and Project teams with end to end responsibility​

    Senior HRBP - H&S and Quality Compliance

    The Senior HR Business Partner will partner with the H&S and Quality Compliance team to drive business value and ensure effective delivery of HR agenda in line with the business objectives. The incumbent will drive the initiatives related to capability building, driving change, succession planning and organisational design. They will focus on development and execution of strategies that drive the engagement of the stakeholders.

    Your responsibilities

    • Partner with business leaders to drive value and change in line with business objectives
    • Support effective and efficient organisational design and change management initiatives ​
    • Maintain positive relationships between the business and our people, using an in-depth knowledge of employment law to reduce legal risks. 
    • Connect with HR COEs to drive and complete implementation activities related to strategic initiatives including people planning, succession, leadership development, PDR/pay review etc
    • Working closely with Market HRDs and HRBPs for talent and succession related activities for in-market talent in H&S and Quality Compliance
    • Provide coaching and direction on people management and development for line managers within the functions
    • Lead employee relations and consultations
    • Identify training needs, leading and coordinating talent development activities

    Professional Experience

    • Prior HR business partnering experience in market/global functions 
    • Knowledge of UK employee relations would be preferred
