    Internal Communications Officer

    Working hours: 35 hours per week

    Reablement Support Worker

    About The Role
    Working Hours: 30 Hours, Part-Time 

    Contract Type: Permanent 

    Additional Payments: 10% Flexibility Payment & Casual Car User Allowance

    This Role is Subject to -

    • The successful candidate will be supporting both female and male service users with tasks to provide personal care. For reasons of privacy and dignity, this post is open to female applicants only and is an Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. 
    • Please note that these vacancies will mainly be for the South Reablement Team and it will not be possible to transfer to the North or Central Teams.

    • The South Reablement Team covers the following areas: Sharston, Baguley, Woodhouse Park, Northern Moor, Brooklands, Northenden, Newall Green, Chorlton Park, Didsbury East and West, Old Moat, Withington, and Burnage.
    • The Reablement team provides a life changing service to the people of Manchester by helping them to regain or attain as much independence as they can in their own homes. Our Reablement Support Workers do this by motivating and inspiring people to re-learn daily skills and enhance their quality of life.
    •  You will be fully trained to assist people to meet their care needs, which can range from motivational support to personal care. This is a community-based role and involves travelling to support people in their own homes.

    About the Candidate

    • You will work to individualised support/goal plans, with the aim of encouraging people to do these things for themselves, wherever possible. We also promote and supply tech equipment to help people.
    • This role involves shift work that meets the needs of the citizens, these are typically 8.00 to 14.00 hrs and 16.00 to 22.00 hrs and successful applicants will work on a rota that is provided in advance to cover shifts that also include weekends and bank holidays.
