    Materials Scheduler

    What’s the role? 

    • As the Materials Scheduler, you will be reporting to the Site Scheduling Manager and supporting the Scheduling team to deliver a comprehensive production planning service.  This means relying on your experience of scheduling production material deliveries for Cider production (preferably), Process and Packaging in a manner that meets supplier order lead-times, HEINEKEN Procurement criteria and allows dependent production activity to hit or exceed Heineken’s Conformance to Schedule targets 
    • It’s all about you and the scheduling team hitting the ‘sweet spot’ between material availability, storage space, and working capital value. 
    • With our Heineken Behaviours as your guidelines, we’d love you to take our very complex supply planning process and use your analytical and problem-solving skills to “Keep It Simple”!  This means constantly managing information flows with stakeholders, using your listening, and communications skills to build strong relationships across functions.  These relationships will result in more open conversations when we are all under pressure, allowing you to be an effective key driver in the scheduling process. 
    • At Heineken we promote and support Smarter Working, in this role there is some flexibility required to meet the needs of the various departments it supports. 

    What we are looking for? 

    • We are always looking to build on our processes and bringing the outside in! We are looking for someone with advanced spreadsheet skills and experience in using INFOR AS & SAP (APO). Previous experience in Liquid Planning, Manufacturing and or Supply Chain Operations (e.g. Purchasing, Technical or Logistics) would be beneficial, especially within a similar complex supply chain environment.

    Third Party Planner

    What’s the role?
    We need your planning expertise because this role is all about ensuring that our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for reviewing, expediting, and managing supplier orders within the HEINEKEN supply chain. It’s a role that requires careful consideration of stock levels, order quantities, availability dates, and sources of supply to ensure we hit our business cost and customer service targets.

    In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for our major suppliers, handling everything from order processing to logistical matters. With your strong analytical skills, you’ll be reviewing data from multiple sources, reporting KPIs, maximising service levels, and reducing costs.

    You’ll also be collaborating closely with our logistics partner, GXO, to ensure that everything runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Whether it’s capturing orders in SAP, minimising supply chain costs, or coordinating operational aspects, you’ll be at the heart of it all, making sure our service is top-notch and cost-effective.

    But it’s not just about maintaining the status quo—you’ll also be looking for opportunities to improve. From initiating improvement activities like Tags, RCFA, or Kaizen, to working with vendors on their performance, you’ll be driving continuous improvement in every aspect of the role.

    You’ll be part of a large team that manages 3rd party drinks for various pub groups, and with over 850 SKUs from 100 vendors across 6 depots, the complexity is high. Plans change, challenges arise, but with your resilience and collaboration skills, you’ll help us navigate it all.

    Technical Operator

    About the role

    As the Technical Operator, you’ll approach the packaging line with a lean mindset and positive attitude. We need motivated self-starters who will be proactive in taking ownership of their area. Your core responsibilities include:

    • Ensuring the running of our high-speed packaging machinery efficiently, effectively & safely.
    • Performing quality checks & taking swift corrective actions.
    • Managing stock levels accruately with use of SAP.
    • Use of process knowledge to identify root causes of problems and prevent recurrence.
    • Actively contribute to our Zero Accident Culture by delivering high standards of cleanliness and reliability on our production plant.
    • Deliver FTR (First Time Right) on quality and process. 
    • Help drive continuous improvement through our Total Productive Management (TPM) programme.

As a Supply Chain colleague, you’ll be part of the biggest function in HEINEKEN UK! From barley to bar, our Supply Chain produces high-quality beers and ciders, prioritising safety, sustainability and innovation to keep our operations running smoothly. You’ll be based within the broader packaging team, focused on keeping our bottling, canning and other lines running smoothly and efficiently. Your role includes ensuring machinery is reliable, well-maintained and safe, while also anticipating future needs and driving fresh, innovative improvements to increase the site’s overall output.

    Who we’re looking for

    We’re seeking an individual familiarised with working in a production facility or an automated manufacturing environment.

    As well as the above, the ideal candidate will have:

    • Exposure to Machinery within an FMCG environment.
    • Previous experience in operating, cleaning and maintaining equipment in a fast paced environment.
    • Use of SAP or ERP softwares for inventory management.
    • Familiarity of TPM principles and implementing or introducing process improvements.

    Laboratory Technician

    About the role

    We’re seeking detail-oriented and proactive Laboratory Technicians to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge manufacturing processes in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Whilst we’re offering a permanent position, we also have another vacancy for an initial contract is for 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

    You’ll be working across our four key laboratory areas: Analytical, Microbiology, Effluent, and Sensory, supporting a wide range of testing and quality assurance activities. This role is not solely laboratory-based - you’ll also be active within the plant, carrying out sampling, equipment verifications, supporting training initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement activities.

    You’ll be tasked with:

    • Conducting routine and non-routine laboratory tests to support manufacturing operations
    • Record, analyse, and report data with precision and accuracy
    • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Support production teams with sample preparation, testing, and troubleshooting
    • Perform in-plant sampling and support operational teams with training and improvement projects
    • Assist in documentation and continuous improvement initiatives

    You’ll be based in the Quality team, whose job is to ensure every single drop of our ciders and beers is packed with the consistent, tongue-tantalising taste that we all know and enjoy. The team is also at the centre of ensuring compliance throughout our cider & beer-making process as well as championing our safety principles.

    Who we’re looking for

    We’re seeking enthusiastic and robust individuals who can constantly prioritise and re-prioritise tasks, keeping colleagues updated on their actions in a way which instils confidence and trust.

    As well as the above, the ideal candidate will have:

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry, Biology or similar science qualifications.
    • Prior experience working in Laboratories with a consolidated understanding of laboratory procedures & safety protocols.
    • Experience of using GC (Gas Chromatography) and HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) techniques is highly desirable.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
