    Logistics Co-Ordinator

    As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for effective management of inbound and outbound logistics requirements, consolidation and stocking of materials and managing relationships with transportation and warehousing providers. You will determine the most cost-effective methods of transportation and ensure that we are adhering to appropriate rules, regulations and laws governing the movement and storage of goods. You will be a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, providing information and intelligence in support of our business objectives.

    What will you be doing?

    • Plan, coordinate and arrange all inbound and outbound logistics from suppliers/sub-contractors supporting customer delivery schedules.
    • Effectively manage relationships with logistics & warehouse service providers to ensure efficient flow of materials and optimum performance.
    • Coordinate issuing of delivery schedule priorities and update MRP system.
    • Work with service providers to ensure all shipping documentation is prepared promptly to support planned deliveries and comply with all relevant legislation. 
    • Resolve any invoice discrepancies and support day to day problem solving.
    • Continually strive to seek opportunities to improve our logistics management processes and performance. 
    • Maintain safe working practises for self and others in accordance with the Company’s policy on Health and Safety

    To have success in this in this role you will be :

    • Confident in coordinating and prioritising daily activities and urgent requests with relevant colleagues in order to find a satisfactory solution.
    • Be experienced in providing exceptional internal and external customer service.Have experience in direct handling of inbound and outbound logistics.
    • Excellent communication skills, fluency in the English language, both verbal and written.
    • Logistics management related experience would be considered advantageous.
    • Working knowledge of ERP/WMS/SAP advantageous.

    Compliance Officer

    What will you be doing?

    • Developing and Implementing Compliance Programs
    • Manage export & import compliance processes, including licence applications, customs transactions and record keeping
    • Conduct screening and due diligence activities
    • Support audits, commodity classification and licence tracking
    • Support with dangerous goods classification and legislation adherence
    • Creating and updating policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and internal standards
    • Identifying and evaluating potential compliance risks within the organisation
    • Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies through audits and other monitoring activities
    • Educating employees about compliance requirements and promoting a culture of compliance
    • Investigating potential violations and irregularities

    • Strong communication skills to advise various internal departments and collaborate with external partners
    • The capacity to interpret regulations, analyse data, and identify compliance gaps
    • The drive to engage with various legislative bodies to ensure we have the correct data and interpretation of our legal requirements
    • 3+ years’ experience in trade compliance or export control
    • Knowledge of UK/EU export control laws and preferably ITAR / EAR / Military regulations
    • Experience with export licencing and customs compliance
    • Excellent communication skills, fluency in the English language, both verbal and written.

    Senior Sales Manager

    What will you be doing

    In this position, your work will focus on develop the Naval activity in the assigned territory and follow new build projects for Naval propulsion systems. Generate and maintain relations with Navy / Coastguard and Shipyard.

    As Senior Sales Manager Naval Propulsion, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

    • Relations with the Navies and Shipyards & Wartsila Network Sales
    • Order Intake for Propellers, Thrusters, Gearboxes, Engines, PTI Systems
    • Marketing and Customer Seminars
    • Maintaining the CRM data base to high accuracy
    • Promotion to Naval and Coastguard customers and supporting the local sales effort for the given projects
    • Working with the sales engineering department, guidance and input for achieving the correct pricing level for the project
    • Understanding of export control, legal matters and ILS requirements 
    • Setting up marketing events with the local sales (e.g. technology seminars for Navy, Coastguard and Shipyard)
    • Develop the new build propulsion project with the Navy and Yard from concept design to contract signing. Make value proposition for Wartsila and co-ordinate with services organisation.

    To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

    • MSC / BSC in Mechanical Engineering.
    • 10 + years’ experience in engineering sales.
    • Technical competences to support the shipyards in their requests and capable of analysing the completions offering.
    • Advanced Experience in Governmental & Naval New Build Projects
    • Good understanding of Offset and ILS requirements of the Navies
    • Solid experience in contract negotiations
    • Advanced international business / Incoterms / LOC / Payment cycles
