When you’re one of the world’s largest package delivery companies, it takes great teamwork to keep things running behind the scenes. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, experienced mechanic to join our team as the Mech 3 (Foreman) in the Automotive facility at UPS Southampton. In this role you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Automotive shop, ensuring that the Package fleets are maintained to a high standard. Following our proven maintenance methods and practices you will work with the team to ensure our vehicles are safe and compliant to all legislation.

What you’ll do:
Work flexible shift patterns weekdays
Expertly handle a variety of repairs and maintenance work on a large fleet
Carry out regular maintenance inspections, complete online records and stock control
Work as part of a team with a focus on quality to achieve reliability and maintenance targets
What you’ll need:
City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics
Experience of working with commercial vehicles including LGV’s
Basic computer literacy skills
Able to work on own initiative and priorities accordingly
Full UK driving license held for at least 2 years
An LGV Class 1 license would be an advantage but is not essential
