    Operations Communications & Events Manager

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • At KFC, our restaurants are where the magic happens - 30,000 people showing up every day to serve food we’re proud of and experiences that matter. The Operations Communications & Events Manager is the partner that keeps those teams connected, informed, and fired up. You’ll lead the charge on how we talk to our people, turning strategy into stories and plans into purpose.

WHAT YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME DOING:

Lead how we talk to our teams.

    • You’ll shape and deliver clear, engaging content that keeps our 30,000+ team members informed, inspired, and ready to serve up greatness. From weekly updates to urgent comms, you’ll make sure everything we say is timely, consistent, and true to our brand.

Be the go-to for cross-functional comms.

    • You’ll own the “window” communication process — bringing together teams across Marketing, Innovation, REX, and Supply Chain (plus our agency partners) to create high-quality, useful, and on-brand content. You’ll act as a strategic partner, making sure everything we share helps restaurants deliver on our goals.

Bring our big moments to life.

    • You’ll manage comms for new product and system launches - adding operational insight early, overseeing testing, and ensuring every tool and message is clear, actionable, and ready for the field.

    Keep the system connected.

    • You’ll create and deliver key business updates - from monthly comms to all-team cascades (virtual or in-person). You’ll help leaders land the big messages and reinforce our priorities with clarity and confidence.

    Champion our people stories.

    • You’ll lead our employer brand advocacy programme - shining a light on real team member stories that show pride, purpose, and the heart of who we are. You’ll partner with Internal Comms and People teams to activate ambassadors, create shareable content, and spark engagement across our channels.
    • Make one of our biggest celebrations of the year unforgettable.
    • You’ll own the planning and delivery of our annual Franchise Celebration Day and Awards - managing content, timelines, and logistics with agency partners to create a seamless, high-energy event that celebrates our people and brings our brand to life.

    WHAT WE'D LOVE FROM YOU:

    ABOUT YOU

    • A natural communicator - strong writer, confident speaker, and a great storyteller who knows how to make messages land.
    • Comfortable presenting and facilitating - whether it’s a live room full of people or a virtual call, you know how to keep it engaging.
    • Organised and on top of the details - you can juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat.
    • Confident using Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word), and bonus points if you’ve worked with content or design platforms too.
    • Great with people - skilled at managing stakeholders, building relationships, and influencing across all levels of the business.
    • Analytical mindset — you’re curious about what’s working (and what’s not) and use data to shape smarter communication strategies.

    EXPERIENCE

    • You are a seasoned internal or operations comms professional - ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site, or retail/hospitality environment where no two days are the same.
    • Proven track record managing cross-functional projects and working with external agency partners to get things done.
    • Hands-on experience creating content that connects with different audiences across multiple channels.
    • A solid understanding (or background) in marketing and brand activation - you get how comms and brand work together to drive impact.

    WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

    • We offer benefits that make your life that little bit easier, because we know the juggle is real.
    • From flexible, hybrid working to Fri-Yay early finishes and Live Well Days, we’ve created a package that supports the real you, in and out of work.

    You’ll get:

    • Hybrid working from our Woking RSC (just 24 mins from London) - Our People & Culture team spends Tuesdays and Wednesdays F2F and this role requires infrequent restaurant visits (1-2 times a month).
    • Up to 11% company pension contributions
