    NetSuite Consultant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Working on NetSuite implementation projects across industry verticals and business process areas, in particular in a functional / business analyst role; 
    • Reporting to the Project Manager, and ultimately a Director or Partner, you will work on NetSuite related engagements in the UK across different targeted industry sectors; 
    • Taking responsibility for key work streams, such as functional and technical design, data migration, change management/training and testing as part of delivery of the end-to-end implementation project plan; 
    • Liaising with other members of the PwC team deployed on the project, including both onshore and offshore resources; 
    • Working closely with client stakeholders, the business readiness and change management processes; 
    • Helping manage project risks, issues, benefits and communication; and 
    • Supporting the project manager deliver the governance and escalation processes including periodic reporting to client and PwC stakeholders. 

    Skills and Experience:

    • Excellent track record of successful delivery of NetSuite implementation projects across different industries; and 
    • Good process knowledge of NetSuite solutions across key financial and people areas. 
    • A thorough understanding of how digital technology is changing finance and businesses more broadly over the short, medium and long term; 
    • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with a focus on the ability to influence and drive change through complex organisations; 
    • A business and finance process oriented mind-set that can seamlessly switch between technology and finance/business concepts; and

    Tax | Private Client Compliance Manager

    About the Role

    Our specialist tax compliance team is responsible for ensuring UK compliance and managing client relationships on behalf of partners at some of the largest firms both in the UK and internationally. This diverse and dynamic client base offers an excellent platform for prospective candidates to enhance their client relationship skills while delivering high-quality compliance work and ad hoc consultancy within a well-respected team.

    What your days will look like

    You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, focusing on areas such as personal tax compliance, tax reserving, and internationally headquartered firms including US-based companies. Your role will involve liaising with client finance teams and attending partner surgery days. You will also manage a broad range of complex compliance requirements throughout the annual compliance cycle, including the preparation and completion of self-assessment tax returns.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Tax Compliance Management: Review complex personal tax returns and calculations prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and timely compliance with filing and payment deadlines.
    • Stakeholder/People Management: Serve as the primary contact for a client portfolio whilst coaching and mentoring a team.
    • Financial Oversight: Support financial management of client engagements by maintaining efficiency, managing work in progress, identifying opportunities, and raising invoices.
    • Internal Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate effectively with PwC relationship managers, teams, and offices.
    • Technical Development: Stay updated on UK and US tax law changes, deepen expertise in partner and partnership taxation, and build reputation as a technical specialist.
    • Network Development: Build internal and external networks to enhance reputation, identify client opportunities, and support business growth.
    • Compliance Advisory: Manage compliance-related advisory work including projections, modelling, tax reserving, and provide referrals for specialist advice when needed.

    Senior Associate, Deals Tax Infrastructure Team

    About the role:  

    Our Deals Tax team works closely with our Deals practice to advise on the tax implications of a variety of deals projects including; Business Recovery Services, Real Assets & Credit and Mergers and Acquisitions. Part of the wider Corporate Tax network, we're committed to driving collaboration and cross-working across specialities to drive innovation and success as we service clients all over the world. 

    The Infrastructure sub-team, positioned within the Deals Tax practice, provides transaction services to clients including some of the largest infrastructure funds / fund managers, institutional investors as well as corporate and private clients as they look to invest across the infrastructure and new energy markets.    

    We're committed to driving collaboration and cross-working across specialities to drive innovation and success as we service clients. Our team is supported by a wide variety of specialists including stamp, VAT, capital allowances, construction industry scheme, tax compliance and finance and treasury specialists. We also collaborate across different lines of service and with our overseas firms.  

    Key Responsibilities: 

    This growth role will be positioned within the specialist energy & Infrastructure sub-team and you will be part of a hardworking, fun and growing team eager to support you as you build up your skills and experience in Deals Tax and Energy & Infrastructure and will look to sponsor you as you progress your career within the team.   

    You will have the opportunity to work on relevant, high profile, domestic and international transactions across a multitude of energy and infrastructure sectors e.g. regulated utilities, transport, renewable and alternative / new energy (wind farms, solar, electric vehicle infrastructure, energy from waste), technology infrastructure (e.g. data centres, fibre) and many more.  

    As part of a team of dedicated tax professionals you will work with clients to articulate the impact of tax as a key value driver as part of transactions. You will act as a strategic consultant, advising clients on how to structure transactions in a way that can meet their commercial objectives whilst supporting them to manage their tax obligations. 

    The dynamic ‘deal-based’ nature of a lot of the work in the team will present the opportunity to work closely with key client stakeholders, leading investment banks, legal advisors and other teams within PwC (e.g. Transaction Services). Working in collaboration with PwC teams locally and overseas, you will have the opportunity to build a trust based deals network which you can leverage on transactions to help deliver commercial, best-in-class solutions to our clients.  

    As part of the team you will:  

    • Perform Tax Due Diligence reviews which involve looking at existing and potential tax issues, tax compliance and tax risks for clients wishing to sell/acquire businesses; articulating the impact and advising clients on how to approach any risks as part of the deal process. 
    • Provide Tax Structuring advice to help clients operate their business in the most tax efficient manner e.g. devising tax efficient acquisition and disposal steps for clients buying/selling businesses and implications of withholding tax, corporation tax and payroll taxes.  
    • Tax Modelling, review the key tax assumptions within financial models to help our clients make informed economic decisions and shape their business strategy.  
    • Pre and post deal services, including assisting clients with pre-acquisition re-structuring and implementing new tax planning ideas.  
    • Support the team with business development initiatives including, preparation of client proposals, market updates and technical workshops and training.   

    Skills and Experience:  

    • Experience of building internal and external relationships and networks 
    • An ability to plan and deliver work against tight deadlines 
    • Developed communication skills, specifically in negotiating with and influencing others 
    • Ability to work well in a team

    Deals Tax, Transfer Pricing, Manager

    About the role:

    • We are looking for a Manager to join our team to meet the continually growing demand for the team’s specialist services. We are looking for self-starting individuals who are happy with responsibility, want to work in a dynamic environment and have the flexibility to work on multiple engagements with different teams on a simultaneous basis. The transfer pricing network provides advice to clients on all aspects of the UK and international transfer pricing regime, including the determination of arm's length comparables, policy formulation and OECD compliant TP documentation, tax audit defence and advanced pricing agreements, and reviewing the tax impact of commercial / business change in the organisation. Work within the Transfer Pricing Team is mainly project based and will involve working with multinational companies. The nature of the work is varied and includes involvement with all types of intercompany transactions including products, services, IP and debt. This role is located within our Central Transfer Pricing team which forms a core part of our national network. The team is led by an experienced group of partners and directors and services businesses from a diverse range - FTSE100 and the largest global inbound groups to Private equity backed business and start ups across a full range of industry sectors. Working in this team will give you the opportunity for experience across this client base covering the broadest range of transfer pricing areas.

    Responsibilities

    • Working with the wider Tax practice as a subject matter specialist
    • Undertaking transfer pricing planning and pricing implementation
    • Involvement and coordination of European and global transfer pricing engagements working with specialists across our global network
    • Supporting companies through all elements of business change and value chain transformation (e.g. transfer of manufacturing to low cost jurisdictions, implementation of centralised or principal structures)
    • Preparation and negotiation of Advance Pricing Agreements on behalf of clients
    • Assisting clients with tax audits from HMRC and transfer pricing defence strategies; and preparation of transfer pricing documentation for planning or compliance purposes (including statistical analysis)

    ​​​​​​​Essential skills and experience

    • Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI) or Chartered Tax Advisor (ATT, CTA) or equivalent international or legal professional qualification.
    • A track record of delivering quality work for clients; demonstrating an understanding of the client's business and relevant professional standards and maintaining respectful client relationships. An ability to promptly address problems and maintain professional standards is key.
    • Proactively managing a portfolio of clients and projects including all aspects of financial and risk management.
    • Contributing to the development of personal and team knowledge with the ability to collect and utilise current, role-relevant business and industry trend information and a track record of providing meaningful feedback to help others improve and develop.
    • Building business through targeting with experience in building internal and external relationships and networks.
    • An ability to plan and deliver work against tight deadlines.
    • Developed communication skills, specifically in negotiating with and influencing others.
    • An ability to take advantage of new opportunities for learning, sharing new knowledge; being intellectually agile and able to think creatively.
