    Senior Copywriter

    This is a Fixed Term post, required to complete a specific task or time limited work, including the need for specific expertise or additional resource for a project. 

    This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

    Do you wish to  work as part of the wider student recruitment marketing team and be responsible for writing clear and concise content for websites and email and using your knowledge and experience to successfully support and shape the development of student recruitment marketing?

    • You will write clear and concise content, including structuring, editing and tailoring content for differing audience needs and to maximise copy for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) advantage. You will build effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure course pages, and other related areas of the site, reflect the needs of prospective students.   
    • You will have an understanding of web analytics enabling you to develop and monitor the impact of website content as well as supporting and shaping the development and refinements for the sites. You will regularly review site analytics, looking at the detail of how content is used and taking on board market insights to inform editorial decisions.   
    • You will have strong proof-reading skills and be comfortable making editorial decisions on content structure and priorities. You will also be able to work independently, manage priorities and meet demanding deadlines. 
    • This is a matrix team and will require you to work collaboratively and interchangeably with other marketing colleagues, adapting and sharing resources depending on changing strategic focus and areas of opportunity. This also means there may be a requirement for occasional weekend and/or evening working. 
    • This role supports key targets and metrics around, size and shape of learners, campaign performance, brand and reputation measures and income generation. 
    • These duties provide a framework for the role and should not be regarded as a definitive list. Other reasonable duties may be required consistent with the grade of the post.

The position is open to those with expertise in the field of Accounting, Finance or Banking including Financial Technology; Entrepreneurial Finance; Analytics and Quantitative Methods; and any area of Accounting Research.

    The Accounting and Finance Department fosters a vibrant research culture, where the personal development and career progression of early career researchers is an integral part of our strategy. Our research encompasses four main themes, with a focus on applied and empirical studies, supported by four specialist research centres. The Department has also invested over GBP 2.5m in databases to support world-class research. During the most recent six-year period, the members of the Department published over 40 research articles in academic journals, recognised as either Journals of Distinction (CABS 4*) or Top Journals in their field (CABS 4).

    Support Invigilator

    This role will be based on the University campus.

    • As a Support Invigilator for the University of Leeds you will work on campus under the direction of a Lead Invigilator to facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the formal examinations.
    • You will assist with the preparation of the examination venue. You will supervise the entrance of candidates helping them to find their seat and settle down, giving them advice on appropriate examination regulations.
    • During the examination you will observe the candidates and ensure examination regulations are followed. At the end of the examination, you will assist in the collection of materials and will assist in their delivery to the A&P Sub-Office if required.
    • The role will further involve acting as an invigilator for digitised assessments. This role requires a certain level of physical ability as Invigilators are required to regularly walk long distances across campus and to transport examination materials.

    Welcome Desk and Events Assistant

    The Lifelong Learning Centre is an academic school and a specialist support service working with mature, part-time, and foundation-level learners. The Centre’s aim is to widen participation from groups that are under-represented in higher education. 

    You will provide high quality customer service as part of the front-desk team by welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries. You will work closely with colleagues in ensuring the smooth-running of the Centre, providing support for general office duties such as booking appointments, maintaining communal areas and assisting with the planning and staffing of events. 

    You will be committed to providing an excellent level of customer service. You will contribute to maintaining our Customer Service Excellence (CSE) accreditation, be a positive team player and manage your own workload. You will have excellent administrative skills, be a confident user of IT and must demonstrate willingness to learn new skills. You should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with others, as well as being able to work independently and should possess strong organisational skills to manage your workload priorities.
