    Logistics Transport Planning Manager - Leeds

    How you will make an impact

    As Logistics Transport Planning Manager, you will lead and develop a team of 13 Transport Planners and Network Coordinators working on a 4-on/4-off shift pattern to provide 7-day operational coverage. You will own the development of operational plans, ensure flawless execution, and drive continuous improvement across our transport network.

    • Leading and coaching your team to deliver exceptional planning and performance.
    • Driving KPI improvements and managing transport planning metrics to maximise cost-efficiency and service.
    • Acting as a super user for route scheduling and optimisation systems, leveraging data-led insights.
    • Managing relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party providers to improve service levels.
    • Delivering logistics projects focused on digitisation, system enhancement, and operational simplification.

    What will make you successful

    We are looking for a strong leader with a proven track record in transport planning and logistics. You will combine technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

    To succeed in this role, you should hold a university degree in logistics, warehousing, or management and have at least three years of management experience, preferably within a logistics or warehouse environment.

    In addition, you will bring over six years of advanced expertise in transport planning systems such as Ortec, Paragon, or Aptean, along with strong analytical skills and experience in data manipulation and presentation using tools like Excel, SAP, and Power BI.

    Finally, you must demonstrate the ability to lead, coach, and develop a team while driving performance and process optimisation.

    Duty Manager - Stourton

    How you will make an impact?
    As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site, setting targets and actions, optimising performance, and managing a cross-site team. You will champion safety, quality and compliance, drive resource optimisation, and collaborate with operations and support teams to meet site KPIs and budget.

    • Lead daily site operations across intake, process, production and despatch, setting targets and actions to optimise performance.
    • Promote a healthy, inclusive and secure working environment; ensure adherence to H&S standards/Cornerstone and manage non-compliance via LIA reporting.
    • Safeguard quality and food safety across the site, ensuring compliance with Arla standards, policies and legal requirements.
    • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency using APS, data-driven decision-making (SPC, MDE, SAP, MES, OEE, basic statistics) and support LCO teams.
    • Coordinate resources and staffing with Area Team Leaders; coach and develop team members based on Our Leadership and Our Character.

    You will bring experience leading operations in a manufacturing or plant environment, with a strong safety and quality mindset. You understand how to work within defined frameworks and budgets, and you’re confident using data‑driven tools such as SPC, MDE, SAP, MES and OEE to guide decisions and improve performance. To thrive in this role, you’ll be a clear and calm leader who sets direction, challenges constructively and maintains team morale. You’ll work as a collaborative partner, building strong relationships across production, maintenance, logistics and engineering. At the same time, you’ll bring an organised, solutions‑focused approach, able to prioritise effectively and make sound, data‑driven decisions.
