    Quality Executive -Cumbria

    Role Dimensions

    Here at Diageo we take the quality of our Beer very seriously, we are globally renowned for making quality liquids and ensuring each pint is poured with perfection every time. The role of a Quality Executive is to deliver our beer and draught product quality agenda across the given territory including targets for Quality upgrades and interventions. The primary responsibility is to install the optimum range of dispense solutions in every account ensuring Great Looking Great Tasting (GLGT) Beer in every call.  To deliver this you will be expected to work to a planned call structure and detailed installation/service standards and have the ability to lone work but maintain the highest executional, organisational and administration standards. This is a hybrid Technical beer dispense capability role coupled with influencing and sales capability that makes you the GUINNESS Ambassador in the territory.

    Top Accountabilities

    • Work to the Highest Standards - Install & Maintain dispense equipment at the point of purchase across a significant geographical account base delivering work tasks to the required specifications and standards  through a specific call structure.
    • Positively Influence the On Trade – Be an expert at selling the benefits of Great Quality to customers leaving a legacy of improvement post call to the consumers next pint
    • In Outlet Execution - Take every opportunity to drive GUINNESS Quality, Visibility + Distribution in each call visited
    • Managing your Workload - Self schedule calls both Proactive Service and Breakdown work and prioritise calls based on Service Level Agreements and strategic importance
    • Delivery of Role Objectives - Work to set targets across calls completed, coverage and specific Sales and Technical Dispense upgrade work.
    • One Team Ways of Working - Work as part of a team delivering Regional/National events and bespoke activity. Support the region by stepping into gaps in coverage
    • Administration – manage the ordering and return of equipment needed to carry out all jobs and monitor van stock levels. Ensure proficient in iPad based systems and have great hygiene with inputs of clear data into these systems pre and post call
    • Work cross functionally – You are part of the Field + Technical team with various commercial roles to partner with and deliver great outcomes. Be an Ambassador for GUINNESS Quality both internal/external 

    Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / capabilities

    • Knowledge of the On Trade gained through working in the sector
    • Established Beer Quality/Technical dispense experience essential
    • Passion for the Diageo beer portfolio
    • Confidence in delivering outlet staff training to step change brand standards
    • Well organized and able to prioritise a varied portfolio of work
    • Team player – will be a key member of the city team contributing to performance results for total city

    Data Controller

    About the Role 

    • The role of Data Controller sits within Brand Change, part of the GBS Technical function and reports to the Data Control Team Leader.   
    • The key purpose of the role is to support all brand change activity through accurate creation, development and maintenance of all product data covering Scotland, Baileys, Mexico and China Hub operations. This includes core product data, bill of material set up as well as creation of all new packaging component and liquid specifications.   
    • The role is critical to ensure all new product introductions are delivered within project timelines to meet brand change KPI targets.  
    • There will also be scope within the role to develop change management skills by supporting/leading Improve and Transform opportunities within our area.   

    Responsibilities:

    • To develop and deliver all project data requirements for small to large- scale brand change solutions on behalf of the project team.  
    • Stakeholder engagement and communication key to ensure project timelines are adhered to and RFT critical metrics are met.
    • To pro-actively manage the product life cycle i.e. creating, developing and maintaining all production Data, including creation of all new material and liquid specifications – across a variety of systems and applications such as SAP, PLM, Excel.
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant processes for Data Closedown of all Brand Change Projects, work with Project Manager to meet Project Closedown critical metrics.
    • Responsible for leading efficiency improvements, and supporting process review and updates. 
    • Manage shared inbox requests for product data and site data requests on a rotational basis. Generate new barcodes for any new product introductions on a rotational basis.  

    To be successful in this role, you will need:  

    • A keen eye for detail and understand the importance of accurate data.  
    • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.  
    • Strong communication and organisation skills.  
    • Take ownership and accountability for project data.  
    • Knowledge of SAP ECC & PLM (preferred but not essential)  
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Macro &, Power Platform.

    Data Controller- Digital

    About the Role 

    • The role of Data Controller- Digital sits within Brand Change, part of the GBS Technical function and reports to the Data Control Team Leader.
    • The key purpose of the team is to support all brand change activity through accurate creation, development and maintenance of all product data covering Scotland, Baileys, Mexico and China Hub operations. This includes core product data, bill of material set up as well as creation of all new packaging component and liquid specifications.
    • A key focus for this role is to deliver improvements in our data processes by delivering opportunities to drive speed & accuracy in how we handle project data E2E. This role will provide opportunity to develop change management skills within the BC&I operations team.
    • The role is critical to ensure all new product introductions are delivered within project timelines to meet brand change critical metric targets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Leading efficiency improvements via process review & utilising the available tools (macros, power platform, other packages etc) to deliver these. Lead the rollout of changes with the data team assessing the training materials and back up documentation needed.
    • Supporting process review and updates.
    • To develop and deliver all project data requirements for small to large- scale brand change solutions on behalf of the project team.
    • Building relationships with involved parties and effective communication help ensure project timelines are kept and RFT objectives are achieved.
    • To pro-actively manage the product life cycle i.e. creating, developing and maintaining all production Data, including creation of all new material and liquid specifications – across a variety of systems and applications such as SAP, PLM, Excel.
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant processes for Data Closedown of all Brand Change Projects, work with Project Manager to meet Project Closedown KPI.
