    IT Project Manager - Submarines

    What you will be doing

    • Accountable for accepting the project definitions scope requirements from the Business Partner to convert into and mobilise a project.
    • Plan, organize, coordinate and lead the project team, taking appropriate action where team performance deviate.             
    • Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manages expectations of all stakeholders
    • Manages escalations with stakeholders both internally and with any Supply Chain Supplier/Vendors.

    • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, with chartered status preferred.
    • Demonstrated project leadership in delivering a range and variety of complex technical and/or professional work activities/projects using structured programme methodologies covering technical, financial and quality aspects and ideally involving business transformations.
    • Proven ability to plan, schedule and monitor work to meet time and quality targets.
    • Experience of leading and working in a global business environment and managing distributed teams, selecting appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools and applications.
    • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Maintains an awareness of developing technologies and their application and takes some responsibility for driving own development.
    • Five (5) years of Proficiency in Waterfall Project Management methodologies and familiarity with  ITIL frameworks

    Radioactive Waste Specialist - Submarines

    What you will be doing

    You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the EPR Radioactive Substances Regulations and relevant aspects of the Installations permits and Site Licence conditions, transport legislation and supporting management arrangements. Specific areas of work will be:

    • Optimisation of disposal routes for radioactive wastes and conventional wastes, including permitted discharges.
    • Characterisation of materials and items. (It is therefore desirable to have an understanding of the Nuclear Industry Guides and the processes and statistical methods described).
    • Support the effective deployment of company-wide policies, processes, systems and procedures ensuring that at all times the business remains compliant.

    To be successful in this role you will need:

    • To hold or willing to work towards Radioactive Waste Advisor status.

    Position Summary

     

    We have an incredible opportunity to join the Business Capabilities and Functions People Team as a People Partner. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to partner both an Engineering Leadership Team and General Counsel leadership team on the development and implementation of business strategy with particular emphasis on the people and organisational elements.     What you will be doing:

    In this role you will work with the leadership team in mobilising the people strategy and driving the business plan, bringing the latest HR insights to the process. In addition, you will:

    • Partner members of the Executive Leadership Group, the leaders who are at the forefront of us delivering our business strategy.
    • Ensure the development of a Strategic Workforce Planning plan to support the business strategy and plan, backing it up with capability planning and development.
    • Coach the leadership team in handling sensitive or complex HR issues and in their own personal development including meeting Rolls-Royce leadership expectations.
    • Drive the effectiveness of the People Team model through working collaboratively across Head Office, the enterprise and utilising People Services, provide effective employee relations advice given the context the business area is working in.
    • Manage global and local projects.
    • Bring challenge and perspective to the business agenda, particularly ensuring robust succession plans, talent development and building an environment that allows people to be at their best.
    • Diagnosing business problems from an Organisation Development perspective, using tools to identify the levers which will maximise organisation performance.

    Position Qualifications:

    • Ability to analyse and challenge business strategy and develop people implications.
    • Experience using Organisation Development to enhance business/organisational performance.
    • Broad knowledge of the People (HR) function and its capability to support business objectives.
    • Well-developed customer and relationship management skills, including credibility and influencing skills and senior levels and across functions.
    • Broad change management skill set, combined with the ability to apply project management principles to deliver and support organisational change.
    • Ability to coach senior leaders and their teams to deliver business strategy and drive performance and capability improvement within their teams.

    Supply Chain Security Assurance Lead

    What you will be doing

    As a member of the Supply Chain Security Assurance team, with this exciting opportunity you will:

    • Develop and agree audit schedules with suppliers, completing the associated site visits, producing the detailed assessments and audit reports to provide assurance to the business that the supply chain can meet the minimum security standards required for compliance.
    • Understand the full extent of the supply chain, including sub-tiers, to determine the risks suppliers may pose and ensure the supply chain know the sensitivity of information they hold and value of the programmes they are supporting.
    • Undertake comprehensive supplier monitoring activities to prevent damage, loss or compromise of Rolls-Royce assets across the physical, personnel and cyber security domain.
    • Understand the security arrangements of each supplier, ensuring continued compliance against contractual obligations, UK legislation and industry best practice. 
    • As the security focal point for suppliers who encounter security breaches or issues affecting Rolls-Royce assets, provide the security support, advice and guidance to Rolls-Royce colleagues when responding to supply chain events/incidents, including investigation reports, findings, corrective actions and the recording of lessons learned.
    • Act on intelligence indicating any threats to supply chain locations/sites from hostile actors, including coordinating the provision of advice on security, risk management, business continuity practices, review and feedback for continuous improvement.
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, to inform and influence security decisions, ensuring sound security practices.  This will include the delivery of security and cyber awareness briefings to enhance supply chain security awareness and preparedness.

    To be successful in this role you will need to have:

    • A valid UK driving licence.
    • Experience of developing and executing comprehensive audit plans to ensure compliance against a complex set of customer requirements, with a demonstrated track record of corrective and preventative action completion.
    • Experience of compiling detailed audit reports, risk assessments, KPI summaries and trend analyses for senior management review.
    • A good understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies, and more specifically, knowledge of security compliance and assurance in contracts (Defence and non-Defence related conditions).
    • Supply Chain experience within government contracting environments, ideally with prior experience in procurement, security management, law enforcement, Government, or military roles.
    • Qualifications/certification/experience of the following ISO27001, ISO28001, CSMP. TAPA
    • Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills, with an eye for detail and ability to influence the actions of others.
