    Electrical Maintenance Technician

    • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant Electrotechnical time served apprenticeship
    • Current BS7671 Certificate (currently 18th Edition)
    • 2391 Test & Inspect Training
    • Able to work to engineering drawings, with a good understanding of Electrical Principles, Installation and Maintenance Operations
    • Experience with PLC's (Siemens, General Electric (GE), Schneider Electric, Honeywell etc.)

    Production Controller

    Position Summary

    Working within an OBU, responsible for your defined portfolio of products & components (parts / items) across the full product lifecycle. 

    • Responsible for driving adherence to the commitment accepted plan whilst ensuring maintenance of MRP and supporting systems.
    • Working within an operational team identifying and prioritising delivery issues, escalating appropriately whilst assisting any mitigation and resolution of risks which would impact delivery and inventory performance.
    • Be the first point of contact with regards to delivery for the external or internal supply-chain.   
    • Supporting the incorporation of new products by ensuring the plant is executing the agreed delivery plans.

    What you will be doing:

    • Production Controlling - Working with the team to ensure adherence to the plan at machine level and use machine scheduling techniques to control production through the process in line with the customer expectation. Ensure the correct priority call is made when resource contention occurs
    • Ensuring that all planning systems used to control production planning are managed and maintained daily including inbound SUBCON / Supplier delivery commitments in line with the RRPS
    • Adherence against the agreed business plan in conjunction with the extended functional teams and in line with Rolls Royce Production System requirements. Where performance diverges from the plan, identify, mitigate and prioritise effective resolution. Ensure appropriate escalation of the delivery issues, mitigating actions and recovery plans. 
    • This will be achieved using standard tools, processes and metric. Production Reporting - SMWIP, Production Order Adherence, Throughput Monitoring
    • SUBCON Management - Regular reviews and communication on delivery plans, measuring of SLA adherence and the escalation of issues when required
    • Material availability: Interface with the order controller for early identification and impact of possible shortages and excess affecting the business plan, to ensure mitigating actions are completed and escalate where appropriate. 
    • 4 Weekly Planning - Continuously realign the short-term delivery plan in alignment with customer requirements liaising with the planner when appropriate. 
    • Ensure that all planning systems are managed and maintained with all front-end actions are executed in a timely manner in line with the RRPS.  
    • Exception Message management & ERP compliance review process.
    • Supports OBU critical delivery reviews through the supply of updated plans and commitments maintained in the executive system as agreed with the team.
    • Supports the provision of delivery commitments and action status through relevant PI executive tools and systems 
    • Support the return of parts back to a supplier or plant, where non-conformance is identified. 
    • Where required, liaise with in factory logistics team to ensure timely receipt and despatch of parts 
    • Working with relevant stakeholders and third-party service providers support the resolution of all inbound delivery issues into CFBU or other plants including Stock in Transit, GRIP and NCR stock.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Degree level education
    • ASCM APICS Accreditation

    Tool Maker/Inspector

    Position Summary

    A Tool Maker/Inspector role have arisen for you to have the opportunity to work in Rolls-Royce Precision Casting Facility (PCF) located in Derby.

    What you will be doing:

    The PCF is the largest UK supply chain unit within Rolls-Royce, as a Tool Maker/Inspector you will be responsible for manufacturing and repairing a variety of tooling from wax pattern dies to machining and inspection fixtures. You will be responsible for maintaining the fixtures onsite adhering to fixture care plans, and calibrating special to product tooling using both first principles and CMM’s

    • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures (safety, quality, employment, expenses, training, PPE etc.) and inspect Injection tooling to a defined specification.
    • Project a flexible, proactive approach, coupled with willingness to work shifts as required, to ensure the output objectives are achieved.
    • Complete and maintain documentation and records in accordance with the Company’s defined products as well as support business control and audit requirements.
    • Assist in the development and operation of maintenance cost recovery.
    • Maintain safe working practices, within the department and also in support of the wider safety agenda.
    • Support new part introduction development.
    • Support the Team in achieving team, departmental and individual objectives and KPI’s.

    Qualifications

    Position Qualifications:

    • A time-served engineering apprenticeship and NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience and qualifications.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Ability to read engineering drawings.
    • Competency in the use of hand gauges, inspection equipment and computerised measurement equipment.
    • Experience of working in a lean manufacturing, production facility.
    • Experience in operating both manual and CNC Lathes, Milling Machines and Surface Grinders.
    • Experience in using modern manufacturing procedures would be advantageous (3D printing)
    • Experience using 3D modelling software would be advantageous.
    • Team player with the ability to work to high standards.
    • Positive can-do attitude and collaborative team ethic.

    Corporate Finance Manager

    Position Summary

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Manage to join part of the Corporate Finance team, you will be responsible for the financial modelling, analysis and reporting required by the department to support interactions with Treasury’s internal and external stakeholders.   This role requires strong financial analysis skills along with the ability to understand and explain complex financial information.

    What you will be doing:

    • Carry out financial modelling to support analysis of the Group’s capital structure, and input into recommendations for optimal financial strategies.
    • Prepare materials for any presentations required for CFO, Board, Audit Committee, etc, to include financial insights and analysis on all corporate finance numbers and metrics
    • Partner closely with Group FP&A to compile Treasury inputs and analysis in support of Treasury forecasts
    • Understand credit rating agency models and how Rolls-Royce metrics align with those models.  Conduct any forward-looking rating scenario analysis in support of capital structure decision making or potential M&A activity
    • Monitor compliance with any covenants and manage associated reporting to banks, bondholders and rating agencies.
    • Produce customer credit ratings for business divisions in support of their IFRS9 reporting requirements at balance sheet dates.  Produce ad hoc customer credit analysis as required
    • Monitor shares held in Treasury and/or the Employee Benefit Trust to ensure any employee benefit scheme obligations can be met as they fall due.
    • Any other financial analysis as required that may be ad hoc and varied

    Position Qualifications:

    • Qualified accountant
    • Proficient in financial modelling in a corporate finance context
    • Experience in financial analysis with a strong understanding of statutory financial reporting
    • Good understanding of HFM and VBM preferred but not essential

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Management and Functional Knowledge: Demonstrates expertise and track record in financial modelling and analysis specifically in a corporate finance context
    • Business Expertise:  Is able to apply results of financial analysis to support work on M&A projects and capital structure and financing strategies
    • Leadership: Provides technical support and insight to Treasury projects
    • Problem Solving: Has strong analytical skills and can understand complex issues using financial and non-financial information.
    • Impact: Drives and supports achievement of wider company goals through collaboration with Treasury, FP&A and other stakeholders
    • Interpersonal Competencies:  Communicates difficult concepts simply to internal and external stakeholders and collaborates widely, within and across functions.
