What’s the role?
The Line Leader is responsible for managing and developing the autonomous line team, guiding and driving high performance, and being accountable for all results and activities of your line and process. You’ll ensure the safety agenda is executed, quality is maintained, and efficiency and costs are managed according to budget.
As Line Leader, you’ll use the TPM toolbox and methodology to ensure line improvement plans are in place, losses are addressed, and continuous improvement is embedded.
You’ll lead end-to-end packaging operations, ensuring equipment and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and within budget. Drive the safety agenda, maintain high standards of cleanliness and compliance, monitor KPIs, and support the ongoing development of team leaders and operators through effective use of HR development tools.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Implement, monitor, and report Heineken Safety and Food Safety standards, behaviours, and procedures. Ensure these are applied across packaging operations, including outsourced activities.
- Ensure compliance with HEINEKEN and local safety standards and procedures. Lead risk assessments, BBS execution, and safety investigations.
- Maintain all quality indicators, implement APM step 5, process compliance audits, Hiquest follow-up, and proactively address quality risks.
- Develop and train team leaders and operators on packaging quality control. Initiate improvement teams, RCFAs, and support NPI management.
- Embed TPM methodology and Shopfloor Excellence, lead pillar agendas, audits, and strategy initiatives. Drive OTIF, employee engagement, and sustainability improvements (water, energy, APM 0–3).
- Manage packaging equipment lifecycle, reliability, maintenance, and Capex project support. Ensure DCS, PM cycles, and HACS are implemented effectively.
- Support the Packaging Manager in team management, recruitment, performance management, and career development according to Heineken procedures and training agendas.
- Provide clear reporting on packaging performance and KPIs. Plan shift staffing and resources, monitor execution, and make daily adjustments to priorities.
