Job purpose
Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for DHL’s global Order Management Solutions (OMS) and Ocean Contract Management (OCM) portfolio. This role requires a forward-thinking, highly influential leader capable of translating complex customer demands, market dynamics, and emerging technologies into scalable, world-class digital solutions that reinforce DHL’s position as a global logistics innovator.
You will own the product development lifecycle from ideation through development and adoption. This includes spearheading innovation, defining long-term roadmaps, orchestrating cross-functional execution, and ensuring seamless commercialization and go-to-market execution. The role demands close collaboration with IT, Operations, Sales, and external partners to deliver transformative digital capabilities that drive operational excellence, cost optimization, and superior customer value.
Success will be measured by growth, profitability, customer impact, speed of adoption, and organizational enablement, ensuring OMS and OCM solutions are seamlessly sold, designed, implemented, and scaled globally.
You will lead both the Systems Solution Design and Business Solutions Design functions across the OMS and OCM portfolio
Principal accountabilities
Strategic Leadership & Product Innovation
- Define and execute the global product strategy for OMS/OCM, aligned with DHL’s long-term vision, digital transformation agenda, and customer-centric priorities.
- Lead both Business Solutions and Systems Solution functions globally, ensuring strategic coherence and operational excellence.
- Champion a customer-first innovation model, ensuring solutions are scalable, commercially viable, and future-ready.
- Develop and manage a multi-year strategic roadmap, balancing disruptive innovation with operational scalability and market competitiveness.
- Establish a robust product governance framework to ensure solution quality and consistency across all customer touchpoints.
Solution Design & Customer Engagement
- Lead the global Business Solution Design function, standardizing methodologies, tools, and processes to drive efficiency and excellence.
- Act as a senior subject matter expert for strategic, high-value customer engagements, delivering bespoke solutions that differentiate DHL.
- Represent DHL in high-stakes customer presentations, particularly for complex and high-value opportunities.
- Leverage customer insights and market intelligence to continuously refine product strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
Technology & Innovation Integration
- Partner with technology teams to embed AI, automation, predictive analytics, and IoT into OMS/OCM offerings, ensuring data-driven, future-proof solutions.
- Lead strategic decisions on build/buy/reuse approaches, aligning with DHL’s broader digital ecosystem and transformation roadmap.
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Leadership
- Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders across OMS, OCM, Business Solutions, System Solutions, Sales, Implementation, and Operations to ensure seamless solution delivery.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, aligning product strategy with enterprise goals and driving adoption across the organization.
- Lead the global Business Solution Design community, fostering cross-regional collaboration and best practice sharing.
Performance Management & Team Development
- Define and monitor KPIs including customer adoption, revenue contribution, operational efficiency, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) for functional areas of responsibility.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture, mentoring and developing talent across the OMS ecosystem to build future leadership and capability.
- Provide direct leadership to a Senior Product Manager team and indirect leadership to global matrix teams, ensuring alignment and execution excellence.
Sales & Business Development Support
- Equip sales teams with compelling value propositions, tools, and training to effectively position OMS/OCM solutions.
- Provide senior leadership in RFP responses, solution architecture, and strategic customer acquisition.
- Own the OMS Systems demo strategy and product rollout process, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and market needs.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, Education and Experience

- 15+ years of senior leadership experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Freight Management.
- Proven expertise in Order Management, Ocean Freight, and Supply Chain Technology Solutions.
- Deep understanding of technology-driven 3/4PL business models, and software development principles.
- Demonstrated success in digital product development, commercialization, and go-to-market execution.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at the senior and executive levels.
- Experience leading global, cross-functional teams and driving enterprise-wide transformation.
