A fantastic opportunity is available for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our team.
The Sr Procurement Manager – Global Capex and R&D will be part of the Global Capex Procurement team and will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing and procurement activities for:
- R&D: outsourced testing, Lab equipment and Lab consumables globally
- Capex
The Sr Procurement Manager – Global Capex and R&D will be collaborating closely with global engineering, R&D and local manufacturing operations to meet business objectives. He/She will lead and facilitate the strategy and execution of cost saving activities, adapting short- and long-term foresight to ensure Reckitt is protected contractually and service levels are delivered.
He/She will be comfortable with managing multiple priorities and adjusting negotiation styles to get the desirable outcomes. He/She must work effectively with internal parties, manufacturing sites, third parties, external bodies and corporate personnel. Operate with a high-level view, driving strategy, compliance, and efficiency with a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) mindset.
Your responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Leadership Across Capex and R&D
- Vendor Management: Define and drive Supplier Relationship Management strategy across Capex and R&D categories brining transparency and highlighting opportunities for value delivery and risk management.
- Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Focus: Lead all sourcing strategies through a TCO lens—considering lifecycle cost, risk, service levels, and future scalability, ensuring value generation goes beyond short-term savings.
- Contracting & Risk Mitigation: Lead contract negotiations and reviews, ensuring language aligns Reckitt goals and risk is appropriately managed. Partner closely with Legal, R&D and Engineering stakeholders.
- Governance & Demand Management: Implement robust governance across the Capex and R&D procurement lifecycle. Improve demand visibility and challenge requirements to enable more strategic spend decisions and reduce waste.
- Technology-Enabled Procurement: Leverage Procurement Excellence toolset tools like Celonis, Ecovadis, and upcoming platforms to enable real-time insights, transparency, and sustainability in procurement operations.
R&D specifics:
- Tight Cost Control & Budget Management: Play a critical role in achieving cost targets by challenging demand enforcing procurement discipline, driving down external spend, and identifying opportunities for further cost avoidance and demand management.
- Procurement fully embedded in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), ensuring sourcing and supplier strategies align with each stage of the product and R&D lifecycle, from early discovery through commercialization and retirement.
- SmarBuy (Tactical Buyer desk): Lead and support with roll out of SmarBuy the tail spend - leveraging best practices to support further adoption across Indirect ProcuremenACt
Capex specifics:
- Lead negotiations with suppliers, managing contracts, framework agreements and pricing models, to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement strategies and support in decision-making processes related to the project Capex.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor/master’s degree in business, science/engineering, supply chain or equivalent.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Capex Procurement in FMCG. Experience in managing senior stakeholders and a team is advantageous. Additionally, experience in R&D is a plus.

About the role
The Senior Manager, Supply Capability plays a pivotal role in executing the global capability building agenda for the Supply Function. This role supports the development and deployment of learning frameworks, career pathways, and training programs that enhance functional excellence across white and blue collar populations. Working closely with global and regional stakeholders, the role ensures alignment with Reckitt’s learning strategy, drives adoption of the Supply Academy, and fosters a culture of continuous development and operational capability uplift.
Your responsibilities
Capability Building Execution:
- Support the implementation of the Supply Function’s capability building strategy in alignment with the Supply Leadership Team and global CoE for Talent.
- Contribute to the development and rollout of global standards and frameworks for learning and development within Supply.
Supply Academy Operations:
- Maintain and enhance the Supply Academy by:
- Supporting the deployment of the competency framework.
- Assisting in the development and updating of core role profiles.
- Coordinating career journey mapping for both white collar and blue collar employees.
- Managing communication channels to promote Academy initiatives.
Global and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with global CoE for Learning & Development and capability leads across other functions to ensure consistency and integration.
- Align Supply capability initiatives with broader leadership development and functional learning programs.
Training Needs Identification:
- Conduct training needs analysis across regions and functions.
- Curate and promote relevant internal and external learning resources.
- Ensure visibility and accessibility of learning opportunities across the Supply organization.
Regional Engagement and Enablement:
Partner with regional Supply leaders and HR teams to:
- Drive awareness and adoption of the Supply Academy.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Support local capability building initiatives.
Integration and Application:
- Identify opportunities to embed Supply Academy tools and resources into daily operations, performance management, and talent development processes.
The experience we're looking for
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
Experience:
- Solid experience in supply chain operations, production, or quality control within large-scale manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to capability building or learning & development initiatives is preferred.
Desired Skills
