About the role
We are seeking a proactive Production Team Leader to join our manufacturing team in Menstrie. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will consistently lead the same team of 10 people, fostering engagement and high performance in safety, quality and efficiency. You will also collaborate cross-functionally on projects and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to drive operational excellence across the site.
This is a permanent, onsite role with the following shift pattern 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off for 7 cycles, followed by 18 consecutive days off. All shifts are 12 hours.
Key responsibilities
Ensure Safety First, Quality Always
- Maintain strict compliance with health & safety standards and GMP practices. Complete safety checks and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Food safety and compliance by maintaining strict adherence to all food safety standards.
Lead and Develop the Team
- Motivate and coach operators to achieve high performance and engagement.
- Conduct regular 1-2-1s, identify talent, and support succession planning.
Drive Operational Performance
- Optimize line efficiency, throughput, and yield using Short Interval Control.
- Monitor KPIs and take proactive action to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
Manage Resources and Processes
- Ensure materials and consumables are available for scheduled production.
- Oversee SAP processes and troubleshoot to maintain accurate production records.
Quality and Technical Support
- Build a strong quality culture within the team.
- Resolve technical issues promptly and escalate when necessary.
Communication and Reporting
- Deliver clear shift briefings, handovers, and weekly production updates.
- Track and report line performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and skills
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
- Solid understanding of production processes and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Lean).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make balanced, data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in IT tools, including Microsoft Office and SAP.

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Projects Lead to join our Quality Assurance team. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to grow within the business.
In this role, you will lead and support food safety and quality initiatives, including the implementation and continuous improvement of the Food Safety and Quality Management System. You will also collaborate on cross-departmental projects, ensuring food safety and quality processes are upheld throughout. The role requires strong project leadership and technical expertise to maintain audit-ready standards every day.
Key responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead and support technical quality assurance projects from planning through to execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Operations, Engineering, CI (Continuous Improvement), and external partners to ensure project outcomes align with site food safety and quality objectives.
Food Safety & Quality Initiatives
- Implement and continuously improve food safety and quality initiatives across the site. Drive compliance with retailer and customer manufacturing standards. Identify and implement improvements to existing procedures and practices within the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for quality issues.
Cross-Departmental Support
- Provide technical quality assurance input into projects led by other departments (e.g., Engineering, Production, NPD). Act as a quality representative in cross-functional project teams to ensure food safety and quality requirements are maintained throughout project lifecycles.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records including validation reports, risk assessments, and change controls. Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., BRCGS, HACCP, and customer requirements). Support internal and external audits as a technical contributor.
CIP Validation
- Develop and execute Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) validation protocols. Analyse validation data and provide actionable insights to ensure hygiene standards meet regulatory and internal requirements.
What you can bring to the role
- Experience in quality assurance or technical roles within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of food safety principles and Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
- Hands-on experience with CIP systems and validation processes.
- Knowledge of retailer manufacturing standards and expectations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.
