    Financial Services Assistant Manager

    You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you’ll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively.  You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients.

    Overview

    Take charge as a Financial Services Assistant Manager, delivering precise management accounts for select clients. You'll handle VAT returns, liaise with clients and our VAT team, and ensure smooth client operations alongside Managers. Prepare monthly workflow timetables, review financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS, and manage complex bank reconciliations. Maintain the fixed asset register, process invoices, and provide day-to-day accounting advice. Create standard KPI dashboards and simple budgets using last year's data. Efficiently manage information, address performance issues, and deliver high-quality documents. Ready to make a difference? We want to hear from you.

    You’ll be someone with:

    • Be responsible for the delivery of management accounts for a small portfolio of clients.
    • Prepare management accounts for more complex clients which are technically accurate.
    • Prepare VAT returns and liaison with clients/ VAT team over any issues.
    • Be involved with client set up and training alongside Managers.
    • Prepare and communicate monthly work flow timetable and deadlines with the team and the client.
