The Role:
The Head of Product Marketing is a dynamic leadership role responsible for driving insights and translating them into innovative ideas that deliver against significant consumer needs or barriers. Driving creativity, working with R&D to develop groundbreaking technologies, and spearheading packaging, design & claim excellence that is rooted in validated consumer desire that set the organisation apart in a competitive landscape. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the innovation vision, identifying emerging trends, and leading cross-functional teams in the development and execution of innovative product launches with a clear understanding and experience of the markets where these will win
Function Overview and Reporting Relationships
The role reports to the Marketing and Innovation Director, who leads the Europe Marketing function with specialist teams across Brand, Content and Product, supported by Insights and Project capability. The Product team has circa 9 team members, and this role line manages two team members.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a validated and business approved 3-year pipeline across all brands in Europe
- Lead BU understanding of trend and have an ability to convert these trends into meaningful product executions
- Lead the assessment and recommendations around improvements to the current branded portfolio, optimising Price, Pack, Architecture mix for optimal revenue growth
- Lead and engage your direct team and others, understanding capability and resource gaps, and building a team fit for the longer-term business goals
- Day to day management of suppliers with regards to formula development, CPAs, COGs and testing
- Identify and develop innovation gaps with standout launch messaging
- Gate and key stakeholder management including validating a workable business case with viable costs, volumes and margin with a clear plan for a hard change over from existing range considering stock and excess committed to componentry and raw materials
- Long term technology planning and sourcing of new ways to bring best in class products to market
- Fewer, bigger better portfolio choices
- Margin improvement and product lifecycle management – leadership in line with brand equity
- To identify and develop ‘hygiene’ factor elevation in our formula and pack execution to elevate our position beyond our competition e.g. ingredient, fragrance, sensorial and emotive benefits beyond our current offering
Experience, skills and qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in innovation marketing roles
- Product Management experience at a senior level
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated ability to translate innovative ideas into successful marketing initiatives
- Comprehensive experience of managing and delivering NPD (ideally with 3rd party supplier) from concept to launch on time and on budget (essential). Significant experience in product-based roles.
- Passion and enthusiasm for our brands, and general knowledge of global industry and trends.
- Experience of category and our supply network preferential (but not essential).
- Commercial understanding of product development and margin management.

The Role:
The Customer Supply Coordinator will be accountable for end-to-end customer order management, and the clear effective communication and resolution of service-related queries. It is a crucial part of PZ Cussons, the role ensures to maximise sales and minimize shortages through critical tasks such as processing orders for defined accounts, resolving late and failed deliveries. The role will minimize lost sales to recover sales quickly for the ongoing success of the Customer Supply function. The Customer Supply Coordinator ensures we challenge credits and non-conformances, align stock reconciliation, and continue to grow our customer relationships. Accountabilities:
- Manage supply relationship with customer through building rapport, good decision making and strong analytical and communication skills
- Reporting both internally and externally service levels, stock and logistics issues to build confidence in PZ’s ability to maximise Customer availability
- Plan and lead customer supply chain meetings to identify issues and agree action plans for future development of processes / ways of working to support maximising retail sales
- Drive high customer service levels through active challenge cross functionally with Supply Planning and Demand teams in both UK and Beauty BUs
- Liaise with commercial team and MS&P team to allocate stock in line with policies – understand wider business context to prioritise and maximise customer satisfaction / availability /profit
- Investigate credit requests and non-conformances – working with 3PL partners and customer to resolve disputes and appeal fines imposed by customers, and ensuring root cause resolution where appropriate
- Stock reconciliation/idoc issues through investigatory skills and robust challenge across 3PL partners and Supply Planning teams to ensure compliance with internal processes and accurate recording of net working capital
- Working with outsourced Consumer Services team to facilitate consumer issue resolution
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost to serve through maximising load utilisation & minimising case pick as well as working on wider efficiencies through understanding, devising and implementing changes to customer and 3PL partners processes / transport arrangements
- Superuser responsibility for Order to Cash and Logistics areas. This includes strong system knowledge, testing and training within the team
Key Skills & Qualifications :
- Experience working with FMCG or Consumer goods - understands principles of working with a large volume of orders and deliveries at a pallet delivery level
- Clear understanding of how 3PLs operate and basic principles of warehousing and logistics
- Strong appreciation of relevant processes in key departments - e.g. Supply Planning, Demand Planning, MS&P, Accounts Receivable, Sales
- Understands how to wider business works and enthusiastically seeks out further information to provide own wider context. Engages with the brands, wants to understand financial performance etc
