    FS – Banking Data Senior Associate

    About the role:  

    Our Financial Services Technology Data and Resilience (TDR) team helps FS firms navigate a fast-moving regulatory landscape while helping them to manage complex data and technology environments. From shaping data strategies to uplifting their data maturity through enhanced data management practices, we combine deep sector insight with leading technology to solve problems alongside our clients.  

    What your days will look like:

    • Data Strategy Development: Assist in developing enterprise-wide data strategies and operating models that embed sustainable data management and AI practices. Ensure these strategies align with sector-specific regulatory and operational requirements, supporting global regulatory standards. 
    • Data Governance Support: Contribute to advisory work by helping clients improve data quality, lineage, and controls. Address regulatory gaps, strengthen internal oversight, and enable greater confidence in reporting and analytics, thereby enhancing their data governance capabilities. 
    • AI and Automation Integration: Leverage AI and automation to enhance the scalability and performance of data management and implementation activities. This includes improving data discovery, data quality monitoring, and policy enforcement to support AI adoption effectively. 
    • Value Addition for Clients: Add value to clients by providing insights and practical solutions to improve their data governance and management practices. Utilize knowledge of industry opportunities to help clients achieve greater effectiveness and innovation. 
    • Promotion of Data Governance Culture: Support the promotion of a robust data governance culture that integrates people, processes, and technology. This effort aids in risk reduction and fosters business insights and innovation. 
    • Engagement and Collaboration: Collaborate on engagements, supporting teams in meeting client requirements and understanding regulatory demands. Facilitate teamwork and ensure alignment with client goals. 
    • Team Development and Delivery: Contribute to delivery efforts and support the growth of diverse teams by utilizing AI and technological tools under guidance. Enhance team capabilities in delivering innovative solutions. 
    • Communication Skills Development: Cultivate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey policies and strategies. Provide recommendations and engage with key stakeholders across business and technology contexts. 
    • Participation in Change and Risk Projects: Participate in business change and risk transformation projects, assisting with client program management and providing timely updates to Managers. Develop strategies for overcoming technical challenges and support firms in reassessing risk approaches and implementing effective changes. 
    • Client Relationship Management: Assist in building and maintaining client relationships by identifying opportunities to broaden engagement with both new and existing clients. Drive collaboration and foster long-term partnerships. 

    The role is for you if:

    • Enable clients to modernize and future-proof their data capabilities by designing strategic operating models and deploying fit-for-purpose tools and platforms. 
    • Knowledge to navigate complex industry-specific data challenges, including regulatory scrutiny, evolving customer expectations, and legacy operating models. 
    • Facilitate strategic and technological transformations to enhance data governance capabilities. 
    • Understand regulatory drivers such as BCBS 239, alongside data management frameworks like DAMA and DCAM, to aid clients in crafting sustainable data strategies with effective governance, helping banks enhance their data maturity, governance, and reporting practices through innovative and sustainable means. 
    • Experience within Financial Services and Consulting is preferred.
    • Familiarity with banking regulations (e.g. BCBS 239) is preferred.
