    Public Affairs Officer

    What will a day in the life of a Public Affairs Officer involve?

    • Building relationships with MPs and peers across political parties to support engagement on humanitarian issues.
    • Drafting and sharing briefings for parliamentary business and meetings.
    • Coordinating responses to parliamentary activity and suggesting proactive engagement opportunities.
    • Working with policy teams to ensure public affairs activity supports evidence-based policy goals.
    • Organising and delivering events that amplify voices from communities and the Red Cross Movement.
    • Collaborating with communications and media teams to align messaging and maximise impact.

    To be a successful Public Affairs Officer , what will you need?

    • A strong understanding of how the UK Parliament and Government operate.
    • Proven experience in developing and delivering public affairs strategies.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored to parliamentary audiences.
    • Confidence in organising impactful events and managing multiple projects.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build effective relationships.
    • Commitment to inclusive practice and promoting diversity in all aspects of work.

    Community Education Coordinator

    Do you want to help people build resilience and confidence in times of crisis? Are you motivated by making a difference through education?
    As a Community Education Coordinator, you’ll lead the delivery of our blended learning offer in your locality, ensuring it meets national standards and supports our wider strategy. You’ll manage volunteers, build partnerships, and deliver targeted education sessions to those most at risk. This role is key to expanding our reach and helping communities prepare for and respond to emergencies.

    What will a day in the life of a Community Education Coordinator involve?

    • Leading and supporting a team of volunteers to deliver high-quality education sessions.
    • Building relationships with local organisations to reach targeted learners.
    • Delivering engaging sessions to youth and adult audiences based on identified needs.
    • Managing resources and projects to meet key performance indicators and maximise impact.

    To be a successful Community Education Coordinator, what will you need?

    • Experience in coordinating projects and managing volunteers.
    • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
    • A recognised qualification in education, training or facilitation - or equivalent experience.
    • A passion for helping vulnerable groups and building community resilience.
