    HR/Training Analyst

    The role will involve:

    • Leading on development of new methods for producing and sharing key training & skills based reporting across the organisation
    • Producing and analysing key monthly, quarterly and annual datasets & reports to meet objective and KPI requirements, including Home Office Workforce returns
    • Engaging with leaders across the organisation to provide relevant and timely insights that enable effective management of people related processes
    • Providing comprehensive analysis solutions identifying trends, opportunities and challenges along with relevant recommendations for problem solving
    • Working with colleagues to develop and maintain and good understanding of the business and current Training & HR practices
    • Engaging with other police forces and professional bodies to enable benchmarking and development of best practice in data reporting

    The post holder will report to the Lead Analyst in People Services, but be expected to work on their own initiative and have close links with colleagues at all levels within the Training function.

    Skills, Knowledge and Experience

    Essential:

    • Experience of developing dashboards and queries within Power BI / Power Query and Power Pivot / Office 365 apps
    • Experience of using or developing QLIK apps to extract key data and insights
    • Experience of undertaking research and benchmarking within tight timescales, to create analysis and recommendations to support and influence both strategic and tactical decisions
    • Experience of working with large, complex datasets

    Desirable:

    • Experience of working within a Training or HR based analytical role
    • Experience of working with Oracle e-business suite / Oracle Fusion
    • Knowledge of SQL / VBA coding
