My client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Legal Assistant/Paralegal to provide support to their solicitors across a range of practice areas, including Commercial and Residential Conveyancing and Family Law. This is a key role within the team, contributing to smooth case progression and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with residential and commercial conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion.
Prepare and draft legal documents such as sales contracts and tenancy agreements.
Manage pre- and post-completion work, including Land Registry applications and SDLT/LTT submissions.
Liaise with clients, lenders, estate agents, and other stakeholders, providing timely updates and maintaining accurate case records.
Order and review property searches, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Provide support in family law matters (experience desirable).
Requirements
Minimum of 1 years experience in conveyancing.
Familiarity with Land Registry processes and SDLT/LTT.
Flexible, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, approachable manner.
Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
